CounterPunch has a post there today that asks a Request, from Russell Mokhiber, to join him outside of the DC Offices of the New York Times.
I’m going to place the whole request below, why, because I want to make sure that whoever visits this Reads The Whole Thing, everyone of Russells words, and not just selected cuts without clicking through.

Citizens and military combine forces to advocate for better care for troops and vets, for responsive government and for the Constitution
There is a you tube video below the fold of this article I write. It is about OUR troops. It is about our nation supporting them. It is about our obligation to help them with the multitude of problems they face.
Remember them. Remember they are not a number or a statistic. Remember they are not bad people. Remember they are not in Iraq because they support George Bush’s policies. Remember they raised their right hand and swore an oath to God, our nation, to me and to you. Remember that oath was most of all to themselves.
Remember that this oath was to follow any lawful order of those of higher rank. Remember that even when they disagree with what they are told to do or where they are told to go or why they are there, they are soldiers and THEY DO IT, THEY MUST. Remember they are bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Remember they do it because it is their job. Remember they do it because they swore they would. Remember they do it because they are men and women of their word. Remember they are men and women of honor. Remember that when they signed up to serve our nation, you and me, they knew it was possible they would have to do things, go places and fight wars they may not agree with.
Remember many die in the sands of Iraq. Remember many are permanently physically wounded in the sands of Iraq. Remember even many more will be mentally scarred for the remainder of their life with PTSD and TBI and Depression and mental health problems and more. Remember that 20 or 30 and even 40 years from now, many will wake at night from horrendous memories, awful demons and things most of us can not imagine in our worst nightmares.
Remember they swore an oath. Remember they were doing their job. Remember they are soldiers. Remeber THEY MUST DO WHAT THEY DO. Remember they don’t deserve the things described above.
MOST OF ALL; Remember they are husbands, fathers, sons and brothers. Remember they are wives, mothers, daughters and sisters. Remember they are away from those they love and those that love them.

This being a brief round-up of several recent developments in the Middle East.
Firstly, a respected Israeli NGO published a report into the state’s treatment of its Palestinian citizens during last year’s Lebanon war. Readers will recall that, back in the summer of 2006, while Israel was busy destroying southern Lebanon killing close to 1,200 Lebanese civilians in the process, one of the main arguments used by its apologists to justify the atrocities was that the civilian deaths were the fault of Hizbullah, not the IDF, because the militia deliberately hid its fighters among the civilian population.

Michael Moore has it partly right, a Big Part, for the Failed Foreign Policies, The War in Iraq and on Terrorism, of this Incompetant, Corrupt Administration will be defining what this Country faces for Decades!
We have Set In Stone, what many in the World, had already thought about Us. And in doing so have Created even More Hatreds, towards the Country, but even more Damaging, towards Us the Citizens Of!

We have some seeking to find the answers to all the wrongs committed by an administration
shown time and again to be Incompetant and Corrupt! And we have many, who once controlled,
playing the Obstructionists on every issue raised.
These Obstructionists were extremely lax in
their roles as the peoples representatives when they did hold that control, and will continue to be so,
we would have already seen a change in their ideology, whatever the hell that is!
One Extremely Important Issue that stood out, of the previous Congress, and the Media didn’t even question,
as they were beating the War Drums, and using three words ‘Support The Troops’ to marginalize
anyone questioning the Policies of the Administration, was ‘What About The Troops?’.

I’ve acquired some new tools and I am struggling to come up to speed with them. I’ve only begun the learning process but here’s the first video project I’ve been able to complete. It has issues so please forgive its shortcomings. Bigger and better things are coming (I hope). Any pointers from the pros are most welcome.
Update: I smoothed out some of the transitions. Thanks for the feedback.

Today the puppeteers pulled the puppets strings and the puppet says it will veto the Defense Department bill passed by the House and Senate containing
The bill is important to members of the military and their families, since it provides for a 3.5 percent pay raise for the troops and contains measures intended to improve the much-criticized health-care system for veterans.

Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
A song I kept hearing, over and over each day almost hourly, as my coworkers wanted to listen to Christmas music at the jobsite, so we switched channels, and the canned programming played this a number of times. I kept wondering if there was a message there or if whoever made up the program list really knew what the song was about, or if it was just about Lennon singing about Christmas, much like the Reagan campaign took to ‘Born in the USA’ as their own, remember that, nobody apparently knowing the words to!

It’s become more of a grab fest of materialistic riches and buying frency starting with Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, which somehow also has lost it’s meaning, from the wew morning hours right through the evening hours of the Eve. And now, with the political primaries so close, for the coming elections, a Spirit of anything but The Birth and Teachings of Christ has developed, while his name is bandied about by those seeking political office!
But one thing has stayed consistant these last few years, because of a failure of our Countries Policies and it’s Arrogance, wether Christmas is celebrated or not, there will be tens of thousands of Empty Chairs at the dinner tables, and family gatherings, on the Eve of and on the Day of ‘The Birth of Christ’, a savior to some, a prophet to some, or non-existant to others!

Their excuse for Walter Reed, “Oh it’s closing in a couple of years!”, as they were rubber stamping a War of Choice knowing Reed would be where many would pass through, was/is a Total Disgrace, another Deja-Vu Vietnam Era!!
