The R is for Racism

White people are not allowed to bitch about reverse racism. Period.

Rich people do not get to complain about being oppressed, either.

And I do not know which stupidity is more insulting to the intellect, Newt Gingrich twittering about reverse racism and his own wealthy white male people’s plight against oppression while he tours the death chambers of (Oy Gavult) Auschwitz, or using a Martin Luther King Jr quote to begin an e-mail that paints a latino woman as an-anti white racist with a superiority complex.

The reality is that the GOP prefers minorities who know and act as if they were inferior. The empathy/reverse racism meme simply means that the only empathy allowed is for wealthy people and corporations, and the only racism allowed by the GOP is their own.

The Republican party has been reduced to projecting the things that it fears will be used against themselves at their enemies. The GOP has failed on every level. They have no ideas and they aren’t even trying to find new ones. Instead, the repackage the same shit we have been force fed for the last 40 years.

That is until recently, when the GOP and the Corporate Oligarch started taking pages from 1859 Virginia.

Elitist, fascist and Un-American have been thrown around lately, and even then it is hard to swallow, but this whole Racism meme over Sonia Sotomayor takes the cake.

The battle plan is divide and conquer. This is class war, after all.

The Medical/Insurance Complex

HMO’s, Big Pharma and other special interests have made America a place where getting sick equals getting poor for the massive majority of our citizens. While we struggle to pay for prescription medicine and health insurance that does not cover our needs, the wealth CEO’s and their political allies are fighting harder than ever to deny us the most basic of human rights, the right to see a doctor.

Why? So they can make a bigger profit, of course.

Class war focuses on Sotomayor. Empathy only for the poor rich people.

Now that Sonia Sotomayor has been named by President Obama to be his first (of hopefully many) nominee to the Supreme Court the political wing of the Oligarchy will attack her for voting in her interests as a minority, a female and a plebian.

Republicans and other plutocrats find it threatening when poor/non-white/non-Christian/minority people vote and act in their own interests. The only way to win an election for the 1% is to trick another 50% into voting for rich people. Fear and hatred is to trick them into it with falsity and wedge issues. If more people succeed like Judge Sotomayor the GOP will lose. The last thing they want is educated and informed plebeians acting in their best interests. If that shit catches on it is the end of the GOP.

Sotomayor’s confirmation will be opposed on the front lines of the class war. Whether she or we know it or not, Sotomayor just stepped up to the status quo. Expect them to take this threat seriously.

The only arguments the GOP can make against Sotomayor will be on sexist/racist/elitist or flat out ridiculous grounds. This is class warfare. Sotomayor just took center stage.

   Prepare for war.

Meme Over: Jose Padilla in the Ministry Of Love, USA

Fact: Of the 3 people who the Bush/Cheney Regime admits to waterboarding, American citizen Jose Padilla, who is accused of planning to obtain and detonate a dirty nuclear bomb in the USA has been imprisoned on American soil since May 8, 2002. They even put him on trial here. His case was heard by the Supreme Court, the highest court in the empire.

The strange thing is, the WMD that Padilla was accused of seeking was never found, have yet to surface and can not be proven through evidence.

That whole evidence thing isn’t such a big deal though since we have denied American citizen Jose Padilla his Constitutional rights to a trial by jury.

Oh. About Jose Padilla. Did I mention he is almost certainly insane by now? 7 years of solitary confinement, torture and long periods of induced sensory deprivation will do that to a person over time, give or take a few years.

Olbermann DESTROYS Rush “You Suck”

Memo to Rush: if you want us to stop laughing at you, stop saying stupid shit.

Keith Olbermann lays down the vicious and savage beating all over Rush Limbaugh’s fat keister. WTF!

To sum this total owning up.

“The crushing majority of America thinks you suck”

The mental gymnastics engaged in by Rush on a daily basis do not make up for his lack of physical gymnastics over the last 2,000 mid night snacks. If Rush evened the score between the two, he could run marathons and power the national grid with the hot air emitting out of all of his orifices.

The irony is that Rush wants the attention either way, but he wants to be able to entirely control the message, from the moment it passes by his hungry lying lips to the second those words pass your ear drum. The problem for Rush is in how to control the message even after facts prove that he is entirely full of shit.

Now, if only Rush could eat his own words with the same zeal that he attacks the native salmon making their return to the river during spawning season.

Change officially put on “Prolonged Detention”

The rule of law can be wiped out in one misguided, no matter how well-intentioned, generation

American Bar Association President William T. Gossette, 1969

“Absolutist(s)” is the term President Obama used to describe people who expect laws to mean something. If I believe in the absolute nature of the rule of law, I am an “absolutist”. What President Obama said, in a way, is that the left demanding justice is equivalent to the right who demand immunity from the rule of law.

President Obama, who I voted for and want to support, just said “neither side is right.”

“If the law supposes that,” said Mr. Bumble, “the law is an ass, a idiot.”

Charles Dickins

Of course Obama is wrong on this, because two wrongs do not make a right.

“I don’t care if we’re holding 15,000 innocent civilians! We’re winning the war!”

Brigadier General Janis R Karpinski:     “The secret here is getting these people released, and we’re holding innocent people out there. ”

And General Wodjakowski turned around and said to me ” I don’t care if we are holding 15,000 innocent civilians! We are winning the war! “

Cross-posted from dailykos.com

That quote came from this 237 page official document which was released to the ACLU by a FOIA request. The actual quote by General Wodjakowski can be found on page 171.

This document not only addresses the necessity and inability of our military to release detainees who were innocent and had no intelligence value at all, it touches upon the known abuse of innocent Iraqi citizens, as well as the over-crowded conditions within the detainees facilities.

Rather than giving you my version of this document, I thought it would be more beneficial to allow you to read it for yourself and form your own opinion.

Tax cheats KBR made $150 million + building Guantanamo bay, Cheney smirks at justice

According to DoD records made over $150 million dollars building Guantanamo bay’s detainee holding facilities, or, as other’s have come to call them, torture chambers.

KBR, of course is one of Dick Cheney’s special interests friends.

Kellogg Brown & Root, the nation’s top Iraq war contractor and until last year a subsidiary of Halliburton Corp., has avoided paying hundreds of millions of dollars in federal Medicare and Social Security taxes by hiring workers through shell companies based in this tropical tax haven.

~snip~

With an estimated $16 billion in contracts, KBR is by far the largest contractor in Iraq, with eight times the work of its nearest competitor.

The no-bid contract it received in 2002 to rebuild Iraq’s oil infrastructure and a multibillion-dollar contract to provide support services to troops have long drawn scrutiny because Vice President Dick Cheney was Halliburton’s chief executive from 1995 until he joined the Republican ticket with President Bush in 2000.
