Cover Letter

How the flying fuck can I write a cover letter based upon the information given by the great resumee shredding goat fuckery of multi-layered temp companies.  You don’t give the company name let alone what they actually make so that would make it like next to impossible to discern if my engineering skills actually might match up.  Minions of fucking Satan these HR dweebs.

This and more, lot’s more shit to watch for as the economy dives and the workplace becomes Gattica world.  Do you have a right to work?  Think again.

Goodnight, Sweethearts.

A singeing cold burned you before I knew it, leaving me rushed to save whatever essence was left of you. The earth saved you, and lo and behold your roots were robust and firm despite the withered tops. Good bye, sweet leaves and flowers that bring me such joy in the spring. Perhaps this year will be better and you will reach your full potential, I will plant you in the Spring before Summer has already blossomed. Oh, the Bishops Children took a beating that way, the bulbs are tiny and fewer; the Cannas and other Dahlias seemed more forgiving.

I made it in time. Sure, there are still leaves to burn, a semi-load of wood to be split to help us survive this winter, but bit by bit I am making wonderful progress in restoring order to my world.

Soon, a sparkle of lights will light my pines through a mystery of snowflakes. The softest rustle making the world clean and bright. The shortest day will come and go, and the light shall return in all its glory to warm the land.

And you will be reborn. Good night, sweethearts, enjoy your rest through the dark and cold, in your carefully labeled bags, written in my son’s still childish scrawl, safe under our home.

Its not so very long a wait.

Bullies; The Mystery

Teaching Tolerance

Since I was a child he hounded me.  She stalked me.  I was bullied, intimidated, tormented not by a single person, but by a throng of thoughts.  Why did another child, adolescent, nay adult ever bully me.  What was it about me that kept me safe from harm or a persecutor’s pointed proclamations?

Vote Like A G6!

Far East Movement – Like A G6 is sitting at the top of the Billboard 100 right now!

When we drink we do it right gettin slizzard

Sippin sizzurp in my ride, like Three 6

Now I’m feelin so fly like a G6

Like a G6, Like a G6

Now I’m feelin so fly like a G6

FYI of you the uncool, “sizzurp” is a mixed drink mixed with promethazine and codeine, a G6 is a Gulfstream 650, and promethazine is a relatively boring sedative except when used in conjunction with narcotics like codeine, and then it produces euphoria, irritability, dizziness, constipation, and confusion in the elderly, like flying upside-down in a Gulfstream G650 or voting in a fucked-up election.

Ten Reasons Why I’m Spending This Election Day On the Phones

I admit it. 2008 was a whole lot more fun. We were riding a wave of change. We had the political momentum. We reached into states and districts we thought we could win and turned them with our energy and commitment. If felt like we just might be launching a period like that of FDR or the peak of the Great Society and Civil Rights movement, when America really would move forward, when hope and history, in the words of Seamus Heaney, would finally rhyme.

Election Results – People Are Collateral Damage

Thomas Ferguson is Political Science Professor at the University of Massachusetts Boston, a contributing editor of The Nation, and author of “Golden Rule: The Investment Theory of Party Competition and the Logic of Money-Driven Political System”.

Back in April 2009 Ferguson was interviewed by Real News CEO Paul Jay, and at the time predicted that the Obama/Geithner/Summers economic/stimulus plans would be a “recipe for disaster” in more ways than one.

Today Ferguson again talks with Jay, and with the hindsight of the past year and a half now says both political parties are disintegrating, and that the American people will be the collateral damage.
