I imagine many of you have been wondering what’s been happening and who was going to take the reins from buhdydharma. Wonder no longer. It’s me.
I’ll have help since managing two web sites is quite time consuming and I have a three dimensional life that demands attention once in a while. I’ll be pretty much in the background, relying on all the wonderful diaries that you write.
Everything here will remain pretty much the same. The name, banner and FAQ will not change. In other words
Passion, politics, poetry, prose and ponies. Silliness, snark and a serious effort to frame the future. A river of words, thought, philosophy and action that nourishes and transforms the political cultural and social landscape through which it passes. That is the spirit behind this “place”.
In practice…write whatever the hell you want! There are no rigid restrictions here, it is a salon and a laboratory and a place to create a new reality. A reality based on compassion, empathy and caring for the people and the planet, while acknowledging the harsh realities of the world we live in and the difficulty of the tasks ahead. The complexities of greed, corruption and the petty politics of ‘human nature’ in the face of climate crisis and seven billion souls…will not be overcome by black and white solutions or electoral processes, but by becoming the change we wish to see and helping others to do the same. Not through top down enforcement, but through people working together, a model of cooperation, not competition.
In other words…Hey Kids! Let’s put on an evolution! This is a place for each of us to do our 1/seven billionth of that together, and hopefully speed the process of change along through a synergy of our ideas, intentions and actions. Now let’s get out there and change the world!

I don’t participate on your other site because of this. It’s not that I don’t read it, I just don’t want to have to constantly edit myself for “their” rules because frankly, they aren’t worth it. I see that website is so down on overall participation in the theatre of the absurd, that they are actually having some non right wing stuff and some non republican stuff being upped, but … this ploy isn’t going to work this time. It’s like they flipped a switch and said, say, to get some readers and get some of them re elected, we have to like, uh, pretend we care for now.
Somebody had to say it. I can’t be the only one thinking it.
I may have to be running around a lot in the next few hours if anybody says something and I don’t respond right away.
to start a new year. I so missed all my far flung mates and I’m so bad at getting off my programmed routes. Same with driving some one pointed out that I drive bike routes when in a car. I blame my fingers and hands. So now I can just hit the tool bar and read the best. I will as you recommend start going to the great sites you mentioned including writing in the raw. I am thrilled by this turn of events. Like a favorite coffee shop down the street with the best of the former employees, the ones who knew how to bake, reopening.
I must’ve missed something. Where’s buhdy?

Docudharma has been so interesting for many of us. I’m in complete sympathy with the Founder and his decision to move on. I think that online political activism is moribund both here, DK and elsewhere. The people have spoken and they have said that they want to remain stoned or asleep as long as possible and let the bankers and military run the show. Our role, it seems, is to adapt–but I could be wrong. I hope we can get into more multi-dimensional discussions here.
For a while you weren’t commenting to me so I naturally assumed you had been kidnapped by meth dealers and sold on the black market to couple of Luxembourgian telecommunications and banking executives that had their way with you and then sold you off in pieces as Ardennes ham after they smoked your remains in saltpeter.
Glad to see they hired you to look after the place.
So do they pay you or are you a batshit insane sadist like me that Admin’s blogs for the “fun” of it losing hours of your life that you’ll never get back for a reward yet to be determined?
