Live Video Panel of Gulf Floor

(6PM EST – promoted by Nightprowlkitty)

The Environmentalist’s Climate page has a live feed panel of all twelve cameras from the Gulf floor. The page may take a while to load, but it’s worth looking at all cameras at once.  Most feeds only show the one BP sends out – rather than the entire working ROV cameras.  It shows the impact, the amount of oil and gas and the dispersant they’re shooting into the well head.

The feed panel is at this link:

You may need Windows Media Player’s plugin to view it (that’s the format the ROV subs use).  There’s also a link to a plugin for Macs on the page.

Good to see you here, too. Been awhile.

  1. as long as BP gives The Environmentalist access to it. The powers that be are on them to keep it open, but it could be cut off at anytime.  If you haven’t seen the full live video panel, you might get over there before it’s gone:

  2. … the perfect excuse not to keep watching those webcams.

Plenty of Mac translated versions around on the ‘net.

  3. 20 miles north of Boston and snorkeling in the great Atlanic I had trouble seeing stuff in only three feet of water.  The main problem, no light.  Dark, I mean midnight zero visibility darkness with all the stuff in the ocean blocking your vision and all such.  It does occur to me that these pristeen live video cams might be the result of a top secret soundstage in level 5, deep underground in New Mexico under area 51.

Hey, what did you expect from a CT expert.
