Okay so I’m in a weird mix of bored and frustrated so Imagonna just Open a Thread here and hang out, if that’s okay with you. Hub finally went to work this morning, so I am alone at last.
I have a friend planning to come over a little later, she’s an artist, and she’s going to do some art on my casts. Might be fun.
Any suggestions?
It’s the tattoos I’ll never get for real. heh. I’m hoping she can do some celtic variation of my “totem” heron.
And then maybe we’ll do one like this…lol (Johnny Depp of course). Well. I have to keep my spirits up. I can’t DO shit! And my neck hurts from sitting here. meh.
This tattoo was first seen at the MTV Movie Awards in June 2008. It’s on the inside of his left lower arm and it reads “Silence Exile Cunning”. This is from the book by James Joyce A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. A few pages before the end of the book, the main character says: “I will tell you what I will do and what I will not do. I will not serve that in which I no longer believe, whether it call itself my home, my fatherland, or my church: and I will try to express myself in some mode of life or art as freely as I can and as wholly as I can, using for my defense the only arms I allow myself to use – silence, exile, cunning.”

anywya, this kid (classmate of hers) ive heard of for a while, Will, a big Obama supporter, argued Teacher down (“Youre not our parents, you dont get to decide!”) and WON!!! Go Will!!!

I had not worried or asked about it in advance b/c…well, several reasons.
at the NY Ren Fair yesterday. A young lady had a very beautifully done leafless, tree of life with a crescent moon done completely in a medium brown (earthy) color. It was on her back over her left scapula. I only wish I had taken a picture of her.
