KATV, Channel 7 in Little Rock, is back at it, again

KATV just does not get it.  Here is the link to the original story, and the actual text of a comment and a link.  Since they might take down the comment, it is important to keep it here.

The story, and the link to it:

Man Indicted in Cross-Burning Case Pleads Guilty

Little Rock – A 21-year-old Donaldson man indicted on suspicion of burning a cross in a woman’s yard has pleaded guilty to two federal civil rights charges.

Dustin Nix faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine for each federal charge. A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.

A federal grand jury indicted Nix and four others in the case, and the others have a Sept. 1 trial date. Prosecutors claim that the men erected the cross because they suspected the woman associated with black men.

The comment, and it does not seem possible to link to the specific one.

I see nothing wrong here. Who cares if you burn a cross, an x or trash.

After some followup, another comment:

How do you not see anything wrong here? The man obviously threatened her because she supposedly has black friends? That’s stupid.

Bubo wrote:  How do you see this is a threat?  I simply don’t understand it. What does it matter if he burned something in her yard.   What if it had been a cig?  Who knows what she has been up to.  Maybe she is bring druggies into the neighborhood.

If anything maybe fine him for trespassing. Noone was hurt and noone was killed and noone was at danger.

Lighten up.

Poor grammar is a hallmark of haters.  What is “noone”?  It that like a minute after noon?  If one means “no one”, then one should use the appropriate spacing.

Channel 7 is back on the national spotlight for the racists posting there.

Warmest regards,
