DISTRACTIONS

(9:00AM EST – promoted by Nightprowlkitty)

These distractions are mainly subjects of rescues of animals I`ve undertaken, in the past years.

Some I still have at my house & some are occasional visitors, a result of an intimate relationship, regarding the difference between life & death.

At times I believe the life I saved was my own.

I do have many many more images of other animals involving this strange relationship, but I`m already late posting, what is usually titled as “Friday`s Distractions”.

I was personally distracted by incidents in my life, resulting in my tardy post.

I`ll strive to not let it happen again, but that`s the extent of my responsibility.

These are to provide you with a simple distraction from the strife of your everyday efforts to overcome the penalty of living in these trying times.

The white parrot nodding off to sleep in the images, I rescued about 10 years ago, & He just was put to bed a few minutes ago.

He`s one of my best friends, & I think this image is the mellowest, of the hundreds I have of him.

Sometimes, a smile to a stranger can be just as much of a “rescue”, so Please, be kind to strangers.

  1. Remember please,

    I post these for you.

I could care less about mojo, points or recs or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

I will though, answer all questions about these images, & also respond to all comments.

  2. Great photography and thanks for taking care of the animals.

  3. waiting for! Thank you so much.

I’d like to request some stories about your rescues sometime. And, does Coconut have his own birdie bed?

The pics of the baby birds are just incredible.

  4. Is Wally really big or are you not so big?

Years ago my rescued (from it’s own murderous family) baby cockatiel grew up and flew out the front door while I was letting the cat out. I sat under the tree she landed in for a long time while she made some sounds and then off she went. It was very sad.

I can still hear her welcome home shriek every now and then when I pull into the driveway, but I think it’s just in my head.

  5. A Parrot will eat Ribs?
