Don’t You Wanna Be Free

Hey there… this is a song I just wrote and if anyone wants to listen that’s cool.  I hope it’s not too presumptuous to post something like this.

…do you have lyrics to share?  🙂

  1. I love it!!! And not presumptuous in the least. A real gift instead. Thanks.

  2. Keep ’em coming!

  3. And all forms of creativity are more than welcome here. Keep it up!

I really appreciate the positive feedback.  There’s not a lot of room out there for songs like mine, unfortunately.  That’s why I still type for a living!

I’ve got more.. I’ll post when I can if it’s welcome. 🙂  The smile on my face right now is much bigger than that little sideways thingie.

    Here’s the lyrics:

the other day i was walkin towards the subway, i was thinking bout the places that i already needed to be.  and it occurred to me that this was not the type of life that i would ever call being free.  but they tell us that we’re free, but they tells us that we’re free, but they tell us that we’re free… we hear it every night on the tv.

    hey hey hey hey

don’t you wanna be free today

the other day i was talkin bout Dick Cheney i was probably pretty angry i usually am when i say his name.  and she said let’s not talk about this on the phone you know there’s that list and next week i gotta get on a plane.  but they tells us that we’re free… we hear it every night on the tv.

    CHORUS

and are we just too cool to care?

or are we too numbed out by the trouble we see everywhere?

are we gonna let this ship go down

and keep on dancin till the very minute that we drown?

the other day i was watching Amy Goodman… there’s someone keeping it real.  but i cannot help but wonder if enough of us remember how freedom actually feels.  cuz they tell us that we’re free… we hear it every night on the tv.

    CHORUS

  4. your soul in this.

I am the Lasthorseman and I am a Knight of the Fifth Veil.

Even if that means nothing to you your spirit is true, never loose that, your intutions are correct, never loose that.

Know that my boss and friend comes from Russia and upon living in America for only a few years said “This is the second socialist country I have lived in”.
