The Energy of Love

(4 pm. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

Uncle Bill has made known the future of my current domicile once/if I leave.  It is a tug on my heartstrings as much of my families prosperity plus that vast treasure trove of outdoor Maine wilderness camping memories on top of this most skilled craftsman building most of my house which “the Illuminati” has now declared “illegal”.

I wish not to destroy this man’s memories/heart by leaving.

Bill is an 85 year old ex-marine from WWII.  He still builds anything you can imagine from pieces of wood, drives his tractor, can fix most guns dating from the civil war to the present day and can follow my converstions on what is wrong with todays world.

Since April of this year we have called this oasis home.  We have had family cookouts, evening campfires, eggs from free range chickens.  The grandkids get rides in the woods on the ATVs and help Grampy get wood for the fires.  The horses are calm and at home here.  It has been a salvation for the whole family, a temporary respite in my personal war against certain sociopathic persons and a society turned socio in general.

My leaving this place.  My family leaving this place will create a hole in this man’s heart too large to bear.   The sale of nine acres of paradise which will go to a developer who will fill in the swamp area, cut down all the trees and build McMansions with vaulted ceilings too expensive to heat yet insulation green certified and granite countertop kitchens.  I hold dear the excellent looking pine kitchen cabinets Bill built with love, the pool deck engineered by Bill, my wife’s very sexy tan lines from said pool deck and the squeals of delight from grandkids who once enjoyed the magic of Grampy’s now destroyed pool.  A swimming pool is a liabilty towards selling a house don’t you know now,  in today’s assholian fuckwadian freak show neuvo globo-corpo-fascist….OK, did I loose it a bit there.

My wife’s father was one of sixteen and what has happened to most of them?  Now that would be a reality show.  My stress now?  How best to save the most love.

Well as the sun sets on this Thanksgiving Day all in attendance including Uncle Bill had a good time.  The complete turkey dinner was followed by a walk in this woodland paradise.  A blond haired blue eyed grandson mounted the ATV, recall that this kid is not two years old yet, and prompted his Grampy for the ride producing key.  After the ride I had the campfire ready to light and we ate the pies outside.  The horses whinny cause they see me.  It’s only three thirty I yell out to them but I give in and dish out their Thanksgiving meals.
