that it was originally made from raw Kentucky whiskey, thusly:
Take a tall glass and crush whole, fresh catnip onto it. Be sure to wipe the herb all over the inside of the glass, and take another bunch for garnish.
Then fill the glass with cracked ice, and add three ounces of illegal Kentucky moonshine. Next, add simple syrup and stir until it tastes right. Garnish with more catnip, and enjoy.
That is the most primitive recipe that I could find. I would love to hear other ones.
