Quickie Fiction Updates for People Who’d Care, Part II

Back when this site was primarily bitching about a Republican president, Budhy was nice enough to let me blog the first draft of a novel here. Other people (including someone who evidently now hates me) were also nice enough to comment with tips & constructive criticism, and things were super-groovy from about Jan. 2008 to June 2009. Then the rot set in.

Yes, I got lazy, life intervened, and my magnum opus of spoiled whiteboy fiction languished and fermented and decayed in its own suckitude. But no more-for thanks to a Parisian-style work week, I’ve scraped enough time to finish the bastard for a second time. The result isn’t exactly earth-shattering-indeed, it’s probably even more amateur than before-but since the future is in vanity publishing, that’s ok for now.

But it can’t just go as-is; even a vanity press would scoff at its rank unprofessional qualities. So I’m posting on the remote off-chance that any of my past DD readers would be interested in beta-testing the thing with me. My vile career in marketing has taught me that spell-checking and self-proofing are pathetically insufficient, and so, as Budhy once did, I’m asking for Help.

If anyone’s interested, I can shoot you an email. If not, well, that’s cool too. My puerile whims are nowhere near as important as other things, so I’ll be fine.

  1. It won’t help feed or clothe anyone in need, so make sure you’re okay with that before signing up.
