CIA Blast Blamed On Double Agent

By SIOBHAN GORMAN, ANAND GOPAL and YOCHI J. DREAZEN, The Wall Street Journal

January 5, 2010

WASHINGTON — The suicide bomber who killed seven Central Intelligence Agency employees and contractors and a Jordanian intelligence officer was a double agent the CIA had recruited to provide intelligence on senior al Qaeda leadership, according to current and former U.S. officials and an Afghan security official.

Remember, our people in Washington D.C., especially our trained intelligence professionals, are so much brighter and better informed than you could ever possibly be.

Because you are so fucking dumb.

  2. A recent article from The Guardian.

    Some Quotes:

US intelligence chief criticises spy failings in Afghanistan

Maj Gen Michael Flynn says work of US intelligence agencies in Afghanistan only ‘marginally relevant’ to overall mission

In a stinging assessment of US intelligence work in Afghanistan, Major General Michael Flynn wrote: “The vast intelligence apparatus is unable to answer fundamental questions about the environment in which US and allied forces operate and the people they seek to persuade.”

The report said US intelligence officials and analysts were “ignorant of local economics and landowners, hazy about who the power-brokers are and how they might be influenced, incurious about the correlations between various development projects … and disengaged from people in the best position to find answers.”

America is permanently at war, so tactical defeats, however embarrassing, are irrelevant. As long as the MIC cash register is ringing, blunders and deaths are just collateral damage. The overarching goal is to continue the war, because war concentrates money and power in the hands of America’s permanent government.

The CIA/Blackwater group that was killed were assassinating “suspected terrorists” using missiles fired from remote controlled drones. The strike that killed them was just as precise and lethal as those they unleashed on others.

The American people support the premeditated murder of anyone the authorities deem to be a “terrorist.” What kind of people make heroes out of contract killers and desk murderers? The same kind of people who support torture and indefinite detention without trial. We have become a wicked people who deserve to be punished.

Obama is fixing the Intelligence Community as we type. LOL

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday plans to unveil reforms aimed at thwarting future attacks like the attempted Christmas Day airliner bombing, as he seeks to limit political fallout from the incident.

Obama will outline an initial series of changes, including enhancements in much-criticized “watchlists” of terrorism suspects, after he meets with intelligence chiefs and other top security advisers, an administration official said.

On Obama’s first full day back from his Hawaii vacation, he faces the challenge of spotlighting national security — suddenly pushed to the top of his agenda — while not looking distracted from other pressing public concerns like reducing double-digit unemployment.

Ohh is the crotch rocket guy that has him worried, never mind that the CIA can’t gather reliable intelligence becasue it’s been over run by incompetent hacks from the Cheney administration for the last 8 years. Not that they were ever that great at it.

If he’s that concerned over airport security and security on planes, I strongly suggest he talk to either the Israelis or maybe this man
