Milestones achieved in Iraq?  (Yeh, like the contract for Exxon?) More galvanizing for Bush and Cheney, even still!  

I thought I was listening to an articulate Bush, the rhetoric was that similar right down the line!

“Recently, as you know, we’ve had threats — as has the UK, etc.”  Yeh, about 3 or 4 weeks just prior to this speech — afterall, just need a little “build up” — how Rovian, Bushie, etc.

We’re going to close Guantanamo!  Huh?  And not one mention of Bagram, or other sites!

But, as you know, there are “certain costs” of war!  You mean, like this?  War Fraud Whistleblowers Under Wrap

Recently, the Congressional Research Service released an amazing statistic – it will cost one million dollars a year to support one soldier for one year in Afghanistan.

This mind-blowing number partly includes the cost of private contractors who have moved into areas of support that have been strictly military in the past. Estimates for the numbers of contractors have been as high as one contractor for every soldier. As President Obama prepares to announce his decision on Afghanistan, the price of this war is also on his mind since he included Peter Orszag, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, in his last war council. . . .

We will not fight for another country’s resources???

We will stay in Afghanistan for 18 months!  What, long enough to let the war profiteers increase their portfolios and destroy the country?

We have lost Obama — I never felt we had him completely from the beginning because of his corporate backing — I feel something or someone got their “claws” into him long ago.  I would say that’s the CIA and Cheney.  Obama is following “agenda” almost as though a script.

And, I don’t mind adding this, because it’s dead on:

In one brief year, President Barack Obama has left a trail of shattered dreams, culminating in his option for more war in Afghanistan. . . . .

Do we have the guts to confront those profiteering from war? We speak not only of the Halliburtons and Blackwaters. We speak also of corporations that covet the huge-we mean HUGE-amounts of gas and oil in countries just north of Afghanistan.

Those corporations are happy to have our young people kill and be killed so they can build a pipeline through Afghanistan to the Indian Ocean, bypassing both the Persian Gulf and Russia.

Can we stop the second resource war of the 21st Century-and prevent a third one against Iran? . . . .

It’s clear to me that Obama has been bought and paid for — nothing left to guess about.
