ExGitmo Detainee in Bermuda Speaks on CNN

Here’s something for anyone who’s in a pissy mood with no one to piss at. Or on. Grrr.

I saw this late last night, I had CNN on my teevee, looking for News on the Iran situation. So this comes on.

CNN’s Don Lemon gets fmr. Security Advisor Townsend’s reaction to two freed gitmo detainees who claim they were innocent.

Townsend was a real piece of work.

It wasn’t all that easy to find. Click to watch -> “Ex-Gitmo Detainees Speak” over there.

So. Just go watch it. I don’t have time to jerk around bitching about how stupid it was. No wonder people in this country don’t know what the fuck is up or down.

  2. Ill just make this my generic “FUCK YOU” Thread.

Just got this robo-reply from my Senator. I dont even remember what I wrote to her about. Im now maddER.

God I really do hate the stupidity.

    Dear Friend:

Thank you for contacting me regarding interrogation methods employed to obtain vital, time-sensitive information from terrorist suspects. I welcome your thoughts and comments.

President Barack Obama and other Congressional and Administration officials have left open the possibility of prosecuting past Bush Administration officials in the Office of Legal Counsel and other offices that were involved in so-called “enhanced interrogation techniques.”  While I continue to support the use of these techniques in certain circumstances, and consider them an essential tool in the protection of our country, I deem their use secondary to the larger issue.

I believe that the potential prosecution of officials of any previous Administration because of policy differences is wrong, vindictive, and counter to historical precedent.  The prosecution of attorneys for giving legitimate legal counsel to the President runs against our long-standing legal tradition.

I appreciate hearing from you, and I hope that you will not hesitate to keep in touch on any issue that is important to you.

    Sincerely,

Before BBC was totally compromised as an information source the documentary The Power of Nightmares outlined the fallacy of what I/we now call Al-CIA-duh.

Note that the CNN story focuses on what to do with those randomly rounded up individuals meaning the neo-con myth of Islam as “enemy” to replace the Red menace of Soviet communism.

Whiny Townsend hag: “Bush admin couldn’t find anywhere to put the Uighurs” – That on top of imprisoning innocent men for 7 years. Fuck.

Bullshit. There were 2 Uighur communities in the US (one in Tampa, Florida, the other’s location escapes me at the moment) that were willing to take them.

Yeah, I know, “Cain’t let them terrists into the US! They’ll kill us in our beds! Wah wah wah!”

Sometimes I wish I could just move to another planet – one with intelligent life.
