The following are excerpts from comments at RawStory today

on Jeremey Gantz’s story It’s official: No U.S. prosecution of Bush officials

Obama has lost my support. Fuck him, and fuck the horse that asshole rode in on.

Since when is the pursuit of justice just “looking in the rear view mirror”? … And what do we say to the enlisted people who are serving time for Abu Graib?

What does Obama stand to gain by protecting war criminals?

Either we are nation of laws or we are failed state.

Why the fuck did we bother with Nuremberg?

WHERE does President Obama draw the line when it comes to IGNORING illegal acts? Is it EVERYONE in AMERICA who broke the law during Bush’s/Cheney’s reign; or is it ONLY those who were active participants in AIDING and or ABETTING Bush and Cheney?

His decision demonstrates the way he relates to power. A candidate is like a used car salesman. He will say anything to close the sale, or to get into office. After that, it’s bait and switch, business as usual and to hell with those of us who don’t like it.

I can’t believe this. It’s time for civil disobedience on a mass scale. Can we get a movement to surround the justice department by say…a million people? I’m not going to tolerate this.

You expect congress to seriously investigate this when they would implicate THEMSELVES n the crimes?

I voted for Obama. I Contributed money to his campaign. I worked for his campaign. I will vote, work and contribute money for another candidate in 212. I voted for change not short change. Obama is setting himself up to get hit from left and the right. Not a good place to be for any president. There is a saying. Anyone who not part of the solution is part of the problem. Shame on you.

Why is Obama denying Bush and Cheney fair trials and the chance to clear themselves?

masterminded by that mythical unseen power in America, ’cause they haven’t missed a beat since Obama walked Dubya to the helicopter on January 20th. The outgoing president left a letter for the new one, it must have read simply: “Thanks!” Where is there significant policy change on the issues that count? Wiretapping and torture, ok. Bank bailout fraud, ok. Afghanistan, ok. Iraq, we leave 50,000, that’s permanent bases right, ok. Hey, who picked Obama, Richard Mellon Scaife? The plot thickens at our national loss, what a horror show.

Remember all those glitches with Bush? The balky, bad English, the brain freezes, the mental disconnects? Obama has fixed all that. He is smooth, real smooth. Now we get slick talk and fast footwork.

Oh, yes, the policies stay the same. Forever war, concentration of corporate power, and destruction of the middle class. But you have got to love Obama’s smile. And have you seen that cute little dog?

  2. That proverbial I told you so.

The signs were all there, they still are.

Not until “the terrorist attacks of 911” is 100% replaced by “the false flag of 911” in every commercial media venue will we be a country again.
