Where are the Mummers? Wasn’t there some kind of Orange Bowl Parade?
The Rose Bowl Parade is at 11 am on NBC, ABC, and HGTV (which does by far the best job).

I have to say this is a completely substandard performance. I should be able to hangover hazed glut myself on sex, violence, and consumption through a dimly remembered bacon and eggs benedict, pancake, bloody mary, mimosa binge for a solid 24 hours.
I am expecting you to provide substitute amusement.

Well. Happy New Year. As it happens instead of watching bowl games there is an endless loops of Planet of the Apes and its sequel/pre-quels that I plan to vaguely pay attention to as I putter around the house.
This going to be a good day to watch GOL (pronounced, “goal”) Setanta, and FauxSportsEspanol (direcTV 619, 620, 625). There is sure to be some great soccer on from UK, Spain, Italy, Argentina without commercials.
Much more fun to be in them making a racket in the middle of what would be a perfectly quiet street.
Penn State? IIRC, this is maybe their second Rose Bowl, but possibly their first. It’s a Big Fucking Deal around here and, I would imagine, in NYC, where they also love Paterno. (At least, when he’s winning.)
