Three Essays A Day

I’ve noticed some people are using up their Essay limit and I suspect they have more to say. As a group we want to encourage participation and freedom of expression. We’re a progressive blog, not a partisan one.

So we’ve increased the daily essay limit to three.

This is vitually unlimited opportunity to be silly and serious. I hope spaming will be minimal.

Merry eksmas!

  1. Or perhaps you think this is a bad idea.

…extra on Fridays, like doing a guest shot with WGLB-TV.

  2. …even writing my own name lately.  But I think this is a good idea.

I couldn’t produce one every day let alone two.  However, I agree that some have lots of good things to say; and I look forward to reading all of it.

  3. That 2-essay rule was helpful in getting me (and others I hope) to see the great out of doors.  If I could, I’d urge the invocation of the 1-essay-per-day rule.

Those of you with unlimited privileges (*the ruling class??) are of course free to increase your production and fill the blog with content.

Those of us in the typing underclasses aren’t yet ready to seize the means of production.  Maybe we need an incentive of some kind to increase our production your surplus value.

  4. for me, has always been that essays didn’t scroll off before I could read them.  So, while I can see the benefits of 3 essays per day for some writers, it would be a shame to miss great stuff just because I was working a 10-hour shift, and the essay was posted just after I left for work, and scrolled off before I got home.

I expect that kind of thing from GOS.  I kinda hate to see it here.

Oh my…now I’m really a slacker! Why did you do this to me???? Now if I write one, I’m still a slacker…I’ll never get out of my slackerhood….You could grant me 20 a day for the next month and I still couldn’t do it….I’ve been writing an essay for the last month and where is it????Still being written!!!!…

Three? Per day???? What am I gonna do???? I guess, I could write in installments…..

  5. … with 100,000 seconds per day, with 100 seconds in a metric minute and 100 minutes in a metric second and 10 metric hours per day, because with a mere 86,400 seconds each day, I’ll never get the third diary written.
