folks, I have been out of here for some months. We are still moving to South America, This month I hope, but we’ve been fighting health issues, tax issues, and, of course money issues. More below the fold…
I have missed you, and this site, but it has been a long 9 or so months. So… what have I missed?
Between family health, lack of recipes, and so forth, I need to post again.
I’ll be putting up a chicken and andouille gumbo recipe soon… and I bet even pico would slap his mama for this one!
Hello Budhy, Robyn, EK, and others… call this a courtesy essay. I had a medium/major heart attack, wife has cancer, treatable thank gooness, and other stuff, of course.
If it’s allowed, I’l begin posting recipes again…

Tis a dream of mine, but I doubt that I will ever do it. I am too invested to pick up and go, particularly in this economy where I couldn’t sell a thing. Besides, I’d have to leave my daughter and three beautiful grandsons.

and about moving? i’m now pf8inNederland . . . been here six months. great country. but you know, every place has its quirks. and the quirks of others always seem crazier than one’s own… don’t you think?
