UPDATE:  Link to the Article text on AfterDowningStreet.

Dennis Kucinich plans to read a single article of Impeachment on the House floor today around 4 PM Eastern.   The Article of Impeachment is titled:  Deceiving Congress with Fabricated Threats of Iraq WMDs to Fraudulently Obtain Support for an Authorization of the Use of Military Force Against Iraq.

The text of the article will be released at a Press Conference at 2 PM (see above).

Kucinich sent a letter to inform other Representatives.

Dear Colleagues:

…snip

It is worse than heartbreaking that George W. Bush, as Commander in Chief, caused this country to go to war based on information which was false, and which he knew to be false. The consequences for our troops have been devastating. We have lost 4,116 of our beloved servicemen and women since the war began, with over 30,000 physically wounded and countless others emotionally wounded. The toll on the service persons and their families will be felt throughout their lives.

There can be no greater responsibility of a Commander in Chief than to command based on facts on the ground, and to command in fact and in truth. There can be no greater offense of a Commander in Chief than to misrepresent a cause of war and to send our brave men and women into harm’s way based on those misrepresentations.

…snip

This Thursday evening I will bring a privileged resolution to the House with a single Article of Impeachment of President Bush for taking our nation and our troops to war based on lies. We owe it to our troops who even at this hour stand as sentinels of America because they love this country and will give their lives for it. What are we willing to do to match their valor and the valor of their successors? Are we at least willing to defend the Constitution from the comfort and security of our Washington, DC offices?

Pelosi says the House Judiciary may hold hearings on the Impeachment Resolution.  Ha!  Don’t hold your breath!

  1. “Don’t hold your breath!” is right.

  2. Either you repeat the same conventional doctrines everybody is saying, or else you say something true, and it will sound like it’s from Neptune.

    it bears repeating.

    But still LMAO.

Yesterday I received an e-mail from my Critter de Congress, announcing her vote on this vital piece of legislation….

H.R. 5811 modernizes the requirements of the Presidential Records Act and the Federal Records Act in order to ensure that the e-mail records of the White House and of federal agencies are properly preserved.

    ………….

As you may have heard, there have been serious deficiencies in the preservation of e-mail at the White House.

    ………….

To address those problems, this bill directs the Archivist to establish standards for the capture, management, and preservation of e-mails and other electronic messages and then to certify that the system put in place by the President for the White House meets the requirements established by the Archivist.

    ………….

These regulations must cover, at a minimum, the capture, management, preservation, and electronic retrieval of these electronic records, and must be implemented within four years of the enactment of the Act.

    (emphasis added)

I’m laughing harder reading it again.

So I sent an email reply and asked her what they would do if the White House told them to shove their archives up their ass.  (okay, not quite like that).

If I get a substantive reply I’ll let you know.

bwahahahahaha, they’re killing me with this crap.
