Common misconception.

Bach was a celebrated composer during his lifetime. — Although he was well known when he was alive, his claim to fame was as a virtuoso organist. After his death in 1750, his music was not played often but well respected by other musicians such as Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin. The revival of Bach’s compositions was initiated by Felix Mendelssohn, almost 80 years after his death, in 1829. Bach is now considered among the greatest European composers.

I admit having to refresh my memory as to which ones:  Brontes, Steropes, and Arges

Actions speak louder than words.  In the 1960s, federal money made its way into Newark and Detroit because of riots–not because their needs were evident.  Schools started to get desegregated not after Brown vs. Topeka Bd of Ed, but after Ike sent troops into Little Rock.  MLK disrupted the buses, the “man” had to change his ways.  Peace rallies didn’t end Vietnam, CBS showed the naked girl running from the flames–action reality teevee.

When in DC, be a pain in the ass.  Chant outside Pelosi’s house and House.  Block Reid’s car.  Wear Mukasey masks when visiting Schumer.  Political theater gets media attention–having a picnic with signs gets footnote coverage at best.

  1. Seems you don’t have a Recommend button, at least on my screen you don’t.

I sent it to my “favorite” neocon  “friends” as a balance to the anti-Hillary stuff I get. Which seems to be daily right now.

I need more Bush jokes…remember they don’t read very well and their powers of analysis and evaluation are nonexistent.
