Pony Party… It’s an Open Thread

I’ve been away from the computer for a few days. House sitting for my aunt. I’m writing this on Thursday and will auto post for Friday. I’m going into NYC to meet ej… he’s there on business and i’ll be having dinner with him and his boss. should be interesting. Then we’ll head back to my aunt’s house for a few days.

Thanks to everybody for their kindness and caring yesterday. I’m glad you guys are here.

Take it away. Try and not rec the pony. Remember… be excellent to each other. Life really does turn on a dime sometimes. Everything can change… snap. So take care of those you love.

  5. Do you know the city well?  Because what I forgot to mention in my previous comment is the cheapest thrill in New York: an evening round-trip to Staten Island.

    Seriously.  Leave Manhattan just before sunset and do a round-trip on the Staten Island ferry.  The whole thing takes about an hour, and it’s priced for commuters, not tourists.  If you’re near the front, on the right (starboard) side, you get the sunset and a great view of the Statue of Liberty going over. Coming back, just be near the front (on deck if possible) and watch a lit-up Manhattan rise from the harbor like the Emerald City.

    When conditions are right, the water will create a mist so that the city seems to be rising from a cloud.

    It’s breathtaking.

    I realize this will reach you much too late for your recent visit, but if you’ve never seen NYC from this perspective–OMG is it awesome.
