The Neo-con Plan: U.S. backs Israeli pre-emption

This essay has been deleted. It is strongly suspected to have been the work of someone who is unwelcome on this site. It used dishonest sources and was deliberately inflammatory. The same will be done to similar efforts by supporters of the other side of this conflict. On this very controversial subject, we will only tolerate essays that in some manner foster dialogue and peace.

    Why hello there, mattes.

  1. …and I will say it here:

People should not view antiwar.com, run by Justin Raimondo, an acolyte of Pat Buchanan, as a legitimate source.  And, considering Buchanan, antiwar.com is likely most illegitimate on matters involving Jews and/or Israel.

  2. …preemption has been Israeli policy since at least 1967.  The U.S. has backed Israeli preemption, implicitly or explicitly, under all administrations since.  So, it isn’t quite accurate to decribe this as a “neo-con” plan or policy.  Israeli preemption was supported by Presidents from Johnson to Reagan.

you are being suspended for two days- until 16:00 pdt, thursday.

you are clearly posting shergald’s crap, to help shergald get around being banned (if shergald ever tried to register up). you are also posting material that is dishonest and deliberately inflammatory. that is not the way to create dialogue on a controversial topic, and that is not the way we want this topic handled, on this site.

no one on this site supports israel’s current government, netanyahu, aipac, or the neocons, but your blame-everything-on israel garbage is not welcome here.

i am really disappointed in you. i thought, had hoped, this was a real effort to get at truth… not to make one or the other side look better… just the truth. I don’t care about your position of Israel or Jews… because if the talk was real, we would have some chance to stop objectifying each other… one small almost imperceptible step toward something better

and it ends up you are no different than all the other liars lying by hiding their agendas behind their backs, and robbing people of the chance for real discourse and maybe to get at some better place.

i am ashamed for you. this makes me only more resolved to find people who can talk truth to this issue and never forget about the human equation… it’s about us people, whether arab or israeli… just us, mattes

i don’t believe in banning (cause i did NOT want Devore to go & sorry she’s gone) but you, you can go. Plagiarism and lying about another poster have no place here, imho. for what it is worth, you’d be banned if it was up to me

  3. that I support the action that Turkana took. I will be deferring to him on the I/P issues, since my knowledge is insufficient in this area.

  4. have you been taken over by pod people?

Allowing the deletion of diaries because of their content? WTF?
