Pony Party, an icon
Broadcast Music Inc is giving Willie Nelson an Icon Award.
‘Nelson certainly fits the bill. Before he became a star in the ’70s, his songs were hits for Ray Price (“Night Life”), Patsy Cline (“Crazy”), Faron Young (“Hello Walls”), and Billy Walker (“Funny How Time Slips Away”)’….according to Yahoo!News
At age 74, Willie is still kickin’ it, having released an album this year, and 2 in 2006. All I can say is ‘wow’.

Pony Party, a little shy?
Beowulf is a computer-animated fantasy film based on the classic epic. Angelina Jolie plays Grendel’s mother, a lizardy creature who is basically nude but painted gold over her entire (computer-animated) body.
I was really surprised that I felt that exposed,” she said at a press conference for the film. “There are certain moments where I felt actually shy – and called home, just to explain that the fun movie that I had done that was digital animation was, in fact, a little different than [what] we expected.”
The film, which uses animation over existing film footage, was a new experience for the film veteran.

Pony Party: Round Up Time
We watched a show on DHC channel where Dr.Mehmet Oz visited ordinary Americans and made them toss food out, take up an exercise program, and eat healthier. As a rule, he used to annoy me, because almost everybody who goes on Oprah annoys me and my husband actually puts her show on to annoy me. Oz cited general guidelines about what the safe measurement for a male and female waist are. So we measured out waists and kind of sighed…..
The sad part is I do exercise… I walk and lift light weights.. tennis once a week in the summer.. a bit of hiking in the Fall. And I still need to lose weight…

Pony Party : Slightly Later Morning Edition
While I was at work on Tuesday night the absolutely most fun thing happened. A gigantic pipe broke right near the new building. I happened to have my camera because I was there taking pictures of Halloween decorations. Somebody called and said,”You’re the supervisor go do something.” So I went out and asked the maintenance guys if they had called X and they said yeah we are waiting for X. I was a bit worried because the parking lot where patients and staff is adjacent to where the leak spurted up and had potential for problems if the water show went on for a long time, when I mentioned that they all looked at me as if it had never occurred to them. However, X arrived and it got taken care of.

Pony Party: Early Morning Edition
Harrumph. Don’t have much to say for this pony party. I have a confession: I had a nasty thought yesterday after somebody shared some good news.
There is a nice young woman who “waxes” me for a pretty reasonable price. She cheerfully told me she is six weeks pregnant. I congratulated her, of course, but inside I was thinking, damn I am going to have to find a temporary replacement who will both be more expensive and a major drive away. OK, I suck….

Pony Party, a teen millionaire
Just your standard, basic human interest story from Yahoo!’s “People of the Web” column…

This is Ashley Qualls. She is 17 years old, and the CEO of a million-dollar business she started herself 3 years ago.
She started a website, whateverlife.com, to provide backgrounds and themes that personalize a MySpace page. The site attracted a lot of traffic, which attracted advertisers, which attracted dollars.
Ashley has been able to move her family (herself, her single mother, and a sister) from a one-bedroom apartment into a 4-bedroom house. She has made her mother, Linda LaBrecque, the business’ manager.
