I remember the little greyish brown geckos about an inch long all over the place when I visited friends in Hawaii, but these look a lot bigger.
They also remind me of some “pet” Horned Toads I had when I was a kid… 🙂
I found one of the coolest lizards I’ve ever seen… an Amazon Horned Toad!

I love those guys. They are popping right out of the screen. Adorable is not usually something I would say about a lizard – but they are so verrry cute.
I feel like I could reach out and touch one of them — that’s how REAL the photo is. Funtastic photography!

I spoke too soon.
The above image is of one of my horned toads I kept along with three or four others.
I rescued them from a building site that was to be graded which would have destroyed their habitat.
I used to have a special “dust buster” I`d use, to gather food for my toads. If I saw an ant trail, I`d just go down the line sucking up ants & dumping them in their terrarium.
I`d also buy ants online for them. 5000 at a time.
The one pictured in the pile of grainy coke is saying “Come & meet my leetle fren”.
They love to bury themselves in the white sand of their home.
