For Mike

“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.”

Thomas Campbell

A few hours after the radio show last night Mike, Diane’s husband, slipped away peacefully at home.

He was the love of her life, her best friend, her inspiration and muse.

My thoughts are with you and Jake and, to paraphrase a Quaker adage that an old, old friend of mine paraphrased to me at the time of my dad’s passing ten years ago this past January (although I’m Jewish), here’s holding you both to the light during these dark and difficult times.

Losing a loved one is tough, no matter what age.  Again, I’m sorry about your loss.

you were courageous to keep him at home.  So many people don’t.

    My sincere sympathy, Diane.

  4. My heart and love go out to you, your son and family.

    Words can’t express my feelings.

    May you all find peace.
