  1. If you know someone who needs to be motivated, send them a video link.

Markos is sending out emails this morning gushing about how dems are winning the midterms already – that “early and absentee voting has started around the country, and more Democrats have voted than Republicans” – and linking to this CBS news article as “substantiation”.

I get the impression he’s inadvertently(?) doing his best to motivate tea partiers to churn out the numbers themselves.

Just to remind us that there is another POV.

Mind you, I have always voted but that’s purely a matter of symbolism as far as I’m concerned. I don’t take it seriously any more. The right just wants power and money for themselves and their family and friends and will say any bit of BS to get elected. When it comes to doing serious damage–if the oligarchs don’t like it guess what? In the end not much difference, some difference but not a lot.

Still, go vote, but don’t expect it to make much of a difference.

  2. There is no way that I cannot vote against Carl Paladino & Colonel Gibson.  When you vote in NY-20, you have to get motivated to vote against these kinds of candidates.  Murphy?  He’s not great, but are you kidding me?  Cuomo? He’s not great, but seriously.  You gotta register a thumbs down on the Republican candidates.
