    This could take some time…

RussiaToday | 16 August 2010 | 2,230 views Loading… The commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan says he is not bound by the July 2011 date set for a troop pull-out. General David Petraeus said he could well advise President Obama not to go ahead if he believes it’s the wrong time. American public support for the war is at an all-time low, with July being the deadliest month for U.S. and NATO troops since 2001. With frustration growing about the occupation of Afghanistan, politicians in Germany have even suggested talking to the Taliban and terrorist organizations to avoid a further escalation of violence

    imagine that!

politicians in Germany have even suggested talking to the Taliban and terrorist organizations to avoid a further escalation of violence

am i imagining things or didn’t somebody say before this all started that we should talk to these people… negotiate?

    ahhh.

here’s the truth then of why we’re there….

“so, like it or not in Afghanistan, the role of the US military seems to be to protect the opium fields, the poppy and heroin production of the Afghan farmers so that the US Air Force planes, as General Gould (<-sp?) of the Pakistani ISI said recently, US planes out of [somewhere?] & Kyrgyzstan and fly those opium & heroin shipments directly into Russia in sealed airplanes that no Russian authorities are allowed to inspect and there’s a huge heroin & opium addiction problem in Russia & in Western Europe as a result of this Afghan opium supply that has exploded since the US occupation.”

  1. Seriously.

Release the Kagan!  Iraq surge architect re-joins forces with Petraeus.

That’s so much change we can believe in I CAN’T BELIEVE IT.

lies the real point of these imperial wars. Actually the “serious” people have an agenda that they do not explain or ever articulate except in closed meetings and even then they use very guarded language since every high-level meeting always involves speaking in cyphers and riddles. But there is a fundamental world view represented by having a pointless war that goes on forever.

All one needs is to do is to read history and then realize that it is impossible in America to tell the truth about politics. Everyone is always doing the “right” thing. Fact is there’s a enormous amount of garden-variety corruption plus imperial strategic politics, i.e., keeping American military forces within striking distance of Russia, the ex Soviet Republics, Pakistan, India and China — and, of course, Iran. That’s the explanation of the Afghan War and always has been. How people are fooled by all the misdirection is insane.

The object of U.S. policy is to show the world that it has power to disrupt world trade and the world energy system which, in turn, keeps many countries from dumping the dollar which the U.S. has made clear would be an act of war (privately of course). That’s the reason for the ridiculous military budgets–that’s the point of U.S. imperialism. The same is true of the ludicrous threats against Iran. Keep the world scared shitless that the U.S. will do something crazy so keep the Euro weak and the dollar strong. That’s what these assholes are not telling anyone.
