  2. Here are two of my absolute favorites by Duke, who was also a talented pianist:

    From 1931, “Mood Indigo”, which his first song to receive the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1975…

    And from 1941, “Take the ‘A’ Train”, which was his second to receive that highly esteemed Grammy Award in 1976…

    And then there are a few other pretty decent songs, such as: “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)” (1932), “Sophisticated Lady” (1933), “In a Sentimental Mood” (1935), “Caravan” (1937), amd “Satin Doll” (1953).
