being a greedhead these days. Nobody will give you a break.

Whatever happened to peace, love, and equality? 😉

  1. Interior secretary to split MMS into 3 new agencies

With the Deepwater Horizon disaster spotlighting possible problems with the Minerals Management Service, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar today advanced his plan for breaking the embattled agency into three — not two — separate bureaus.

The broad reorganization, which was advanced today by a secretarial order but is likely to be shaped later by legislation on Capitol Hill, is designed to squash a conflict of interest between the MMS’ current competing missions. The agency is now tasked with collecting royalties from oil and gas produced on federal lands and issuing energy leases; at the same time it also is responsible for policing offshore drilling and setting regulations for the industry.

Salazar insisted it was important to avoid any real or perceived conflict of interest between the MMS’ role in collecting an average $13 billion annually in royalties and in overseeing the industry that delivers that money to federal coffers.

  2. APA Scrubs Web Pages Linking It to CIA Torture Workshops

It could use some recommends from anyone who is willing and able.
