Don’t be depressed, we all have birthdays. I mostly ignore mine.

  2. What I do on my birthday is get really busy.  I hardly even notice it.

In any event your on line friends like you and respect you.

    Happy birthday and many more.

  3. … happy birthday, Doc.

I hope you are feeling better today.

  4. I think it’s now a day later, i.e. yesterday, Tuesday, was actually your birthday?  In which case, a very merry unbirthday to you.

  5. Your blueness sounds like it is not the ordinary Birthday blues but the realization your not sharing it with your exwife. Next year you won’t have two blues to deal with and maybe the next one will find you in good company. Nice to hear from you even in your lonely state, stick around and get the triple blues from all the news.

  6. I HATE birthdays. I wish mine was a secret that I could just celebrate in my head without all the fuss.

I know this was the first without your wife. I suppose it’s natural to dwell on the sadness of it, but you don’t have to. There are other ways to think about those changes. That’s all I’m saying.

I want you to be as happy as can be. You are an adorable person.

  7. I have felt that way around my birthday. Last year I made the mistake of just working on my birthday so I could pretend it wasn’t happening. Last year was kinda of a difficult emotional year for me which was probably why I felt a bit sad  on that particular date. It seems funny now but too many people came up to me and said,”WHY ARE YOU WORKING ON YOUR BIRTHDAY”. So it made things worse. Now I can enjoy the irony at the time I could not.

Depression is the result of a lot of things — but mainly it is the result of lack of loving community. Such community is discouraged and penalized in our culture thus the preponderance of depression. Often, those who are depressed are the ones most sensitive and aware. It is easy to be taken in by this culture that is a combination of Pinnochio’s Pleasure Island and a cult.

The culture is insane right now. It has gone completely off it’s trolley. It is wildly hallucinating and talking to people that are not there. Delusional is too weak a word to use for our state.

Realize that depression could be a step. Could be a step to re-order your internal workings. Could be a step to be quiet for a moment and realize who you really are, not who you’ve been programmed to be by people who don’t give a fuck for you. I’ve suffered from depression and I handle it by living each moment knowing that my consciousness ebbs and flows and not to get too excited about it but just experience it completely knowing that there is night and day and then night but something strong is always there present.

  8. for being so kind.

    Warmest regards,

    Doc
