On Being Published

If there is one thing about blogging I enjoy, it is having the ability to impart knowledge, expertise, and experiences to those who may wish to read about it.

It is especially satisfying when a person’s writing is acknowledged as being pertinent, important, and is published.

So, imagine my surprise and joy when a submission of mine to Truthout.org was published.

I polished up one of my essay’s here, “The Hurt Locker and Iraq Today,” and submitted it to Truthout.org on a whim.

There are many people here at Docudharma who have a lot to say, and, are far better writers than I am.  So, why not submit your stories, op-ed’s, to various sites?

You never know, you might get an email saying, “we are publishing your submission.”

Congratulations, Michael. You write well and your contributions here have always been well received, so it is not surprising that Truthout would publish one of your articles.

  1. I, for one, would love to hear your perspective on your experiences in Iraq.

And good to see you again.

  2. I think you deserve it — you’re always interesting!  Kudos for you!
