International Criminal Court – The Hague

As they say, “just one individual CAN make a difference.”

Prof. Francis A. Boyle, Professor of International Law, University of Illinois College of Law, of Champaign, Illinois, U.S.A., has filed a Complaint with the Prosecutor for the International Criminal Court (I.C.C.), in The Hague, against U.S. citizens George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet, Condoleeza Rice, and Alberto Gonzales (the Accused).”  The Complaint is based on the “criminal policy and practice of ‘extraordinary renditions’ perpetrated upon about 100 human beings,” which practice represents “Crimes against Humanity” and are “in violation of the Rome Statute establishing the I.C.C.” * (emphasis mine)

Dear Sir:

Please accept my personal compliments. I have the honor hereby to file with you and the International Criminal Court this Complaint against U.S. citizens George W. Bush, Richard Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, George Tenet, Condoleezza Rice , and Alberto Gonzales (hereinafter referred to as the “Accused”) for their criminal policy and practice of “extraordinary rendition.”  This term is really a euphemism for the enforced disappearances of persons, their torture, severe deprivation of their liberty, their violent sexual abuse, and other inhumane acts perpetrated upon these Victims. The Accused have inflicted this criminal policy and practice of “extraordinary rendition” upon about one hundred (100) human beings, almost all of whom are Muslims/Arabs/Asians and People of Color. I doubt very seriously that the Accused would have inflicted these criminal practices upon 100 White Judeo-Christian men.  .  .  .  .

[Note:  A reading of the entirety of the Complaint can be found here.

*The following is an “abbreviation” of the Complaint, by Prof. Boyle:

The United States is not a party to the Rome Statute. Nevertheless the Accused have ordered and been responsible for the commission of I.C.C. statutory crimes within the respective territories of many I.C.C. member states, including several in Europe. Consequently, the I.C.C. has jurisdiction to prosecute the Accused for their I.C.C. statutory crimes under Rome Statute article 12(2)(a) that affords the I.C.C. jurisdiction to prosecute for I.C.C. statutory crimes committed in I.C.C. member states.

The Complaint requests (1) that the I.C.C. Prosecutor open an investigation of the Accused on his own accord under Rome Statute article 15(1); and (2) that the I.C.C. Prosecutor also formally submit to the [I.C.C.] Pre-Trial Chamber a request for authorization of an investigation of the Accused under Rome Statute article 15(3).

For similar reasons, the Highest Level Officials of the Obama administration risk the filing of a follow-up Complaint with the I.C.C. if they do not immediately terminate the Accuseds criminal policy and practice of extraordinary rendition,” which the Obama administration has continued to implement.

The Complaint concludes with a request that the I.C.C. Prosecutor obtain International Arrest Warrants for the Accused from the I.C.C. in accordance with Rome Statute articles 58(1)(a), 58(1)(b)(i), 58(1)(b)(ii), and 58(1)(b)(iii).

Help is needed!

–Contact The Hague to insist they proceed (sic.) an investigation of war-crimes

committed by the accused (Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Tenet and Gonzales) in the

acts called “Extraordinary Rendition” as quickly as possible.

–Send me (Chip) a reply ([email protected]) if you would like your group listed as

  endorsing Prof. Boyle’s filing.

–Send this message to all your groups – this is the accountability we’ve all been

working on for the past several years.

–Contact Eric Holder 202-353-1555 [email protected] to tell him the International

Community will prosecute even if he does not.

Facebook page & website coming soon!

[Prof. Boyle–] He is looking for endorsements. Please respond if you’d like your group named as endorsing the arrest of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Tenet and Gonzales for the international war-crimes.

This, from Prof.  Boyle:

Thanks. I want to set up a worldwide grassroots campaign: BUSH TO THE HAGUE!

The basis would be the Complaint I have filed with the ICC. I want everyone in the world to contact the ICC prosecutor as indicated and demand Bush’s prosecution. Once that is set up we use it to pressure all governments in the world to investigate, extradite and prosecute Bush et al., including our own The principles of international criminal law that they have violated apply everywhere in the world. We need grassroots activists whom I can work with to put this together with experience doing it. We also get as many endorsements from NGOs as we can. I already got my first, as indicated below.(emphasis mine)

This happens at an opportune time,* as our laws are being broken down almost daily.  I cannot think of anything more important than an effort to “force” this country to be returned to the rule of law.

One man has taken that brave step.  All we need to do is join him in that effort.

*should have happened a long ago already!

  1. Tips for Prof. Francis A. Boyle!

  2. Cheney, Condi, Bush and Co were “extraordinarily renditioned” to the Hague.

“This is an outrage!” ::splutter, splutter:: “U.S. Sovereignty!” ::harumphing::

::pearl clutching:: “We demand their immediate return!”

No problem I understand. Especially having to relive that nightmare over again; this time unpleasantly.

Mine lasted for… six hours, but there was only one and he waited until the end to get ‘tough’.

  4. I have to hold onto my core belief system that the current incarnation of globalization is the higher evil meme here.

To prosecute only a single administration while turning a blind eye to the current one which continued the very same war of error and has expanded upon the themes of a future dystopian Clockwork Orange PC surveillance world, well then.

Ok the real question here is setting the precedent to give up US sovereignty to a global organization.

Why Bush, Cheney et al but NOT giving up the truth of 911 as the inside job the truth movement knows it to be.

It is the same now as it was last year when the subject was brought up before Obama was installed as America’s puppet globalist spokesman.

anymore — at least de facto if not de jure. It’s over. There is neither support within the power structure nor support within the electorate, schooled by the media’s worship of violence and torture, for anything we might agree resembles international law.

That period of post-WWII interest in rule of law is long gone and not likely to return. In it’s place are imperial decrees.

  5. our terrorists, there wouldn’t be so many terrorists in other countries retaliating against U.S. terrorism with their own terrorism.

    Thanks for posting this, Tahoe.

  6. thank you for FP’g this.  ðŸ™‚
