So according to money.cnn, since January 21st $305 million has been raised in the US so far for Haiti.  That is, regular citizens in the United States, despite being poor as fuck right now, raised THREE TIMES more than our government to help out Haiti:

President Barack Obama, signaling “one of the largest relief efforts in history” for victims of the Haitian earthquake, said today that he has ordered an immediate investment of $100 million in U.S. aid.

We, the people, robbed and raped in our country financially, with the little money we have to offer, gave Haiti three times what our government offered….oh and by the way the government used our taxes so all together we raised $405 million as a country for Haiti.

Let’s have a chat…

Are you starting to see a pattern yet America?

Citizens giving to help out because they feel the need to help people around them, regardless of political affiliation by the way.  Whether done genuinely, or more disingenuous as done by the GOP I assume, there is at least a general agreement that helping people in times of crisis is the right thing to do.  To prove this, what of those who have even dared to go so far as explaining why it happened?:

Yeah, he got some shit for that as you can imagine, in fact more than usual.  I tend to be able to get an accurate account of people’s overall perception of having “common moral decency” through watching shit Pat Robertson says and then seeing how much “hate” he gets back for saying it.

General consensus is that only people who should be thrown from atop the highest skyscraper would say such a thing.

Change!

We can live with government being our bitch and doing our bidding because they fear us.  We are the many, they the few, and you wouldn’t like us when we’re angry.

Imagine an America where when they ask for our tax money for their fuck-ups this will be a video sent in an email as our response….
