Short version of Obama’s real message from the Health Care Summit:

“We made our back door deals, with Big Pharma, with private hospitals (which means no public option), with Republicans, with ConservaDems.

Now we’re going to have a public conversation to let you know how stupid and mean the Republicans are.

Now that we’ve taken off the table what most Americans are in favor of, and kept in what most Americans don’t want, we’ll allow “the people” to make up their own minds.”

And then there’s all the noise and racket from the OFA’ers saying “pass the bill!  pass the bill!  We’ll fix it later!”

OFA is the DLC.  OFA does not exist to advocate good policy but to support Obama’s plans.  OFA will not revisit health care reform.  OFA will gear up to support whatever is next on Obama’s agenda.

And the same thing will happen again and again, with each issue, immigration, national security, the economy, education.  We’ll be told that legislation is ugly and messy and hooray!  At least Dems are better than Republicans!  As the back door deals go on and on, and once again no one listens to the people.

And Obama speaks of transparency.  Yep, we get transparency only after all the back door deals have been made, and that “transparency” is nothing but public relations.  Plouffe is now there to make sure of it.

I don’t think it takes a genius to debate Republicans and come off looking pretty good.

I’d sure like to see Obama publicly speak and debate with the Left.  I don’t think he’d find it as easy to come off looking pretty good.

So of course that will not happen.

Folks are hurting.  They’re losing their jobs, their homes, their health.  I don’t think Plouffe is going to find it so easy to spin Obama’s “accomplishments” in the face of real suffering of the middle class.  I doubt most of those folks even watched the Health Care Summit.

But hey, “we’re better than the Republicans!”

Have you no faith? Plouffe is working on an entire PR campaign of more and better lies that will make everything sweetness and light for you. As we speak.

Practice clapping and cheering. It’s Operation New Dawn.

(or some of them who wanted to say they signed a letter did.)

  3. Let’s see.  I can see the panel of questioners I’d like to see right now.

    Alan Grayson

    Bernie Sanders

    Dennis Kucinich

    John Aravosis

    Pam Spaulding

    Jane Hamsher

    Markos Mouslitas

    Glenn Greenwald

  4. I couldn’t watch all of the the ‘summit’. It was ridiculous and very depressing . They hide behind procedure and made up public opinion and pick the bones of our sicknesses and basic needs as a society. The worst was knowing that what they were haggling over not reform or health care but as McCain said 16% of our economy. Their sole motivation is mandating us to pay and how much blood the turnip has for them to deliver up to the waiting extortionists.

No one in the room represents the people or common good they could fix or reform health care but that is not what they want. Even the Democrats in the room act like people are irresponsible consumers. Health care for profit is an oxymoron and they know this. It’s a direct skip the middleman bailout for an industry that already makes an obscene profit. Extortion is their product and once you buy it you don’t even get  protection let alone affordable health care access. None of these pols have any concept of what’s affordable and if they do they could care less. The excise tax is insult to injury.

I used your link at dkos without a HT. I didn’t know if I should. Thanks for giving us this under reported backroom, dirty deal, story. The longer this goes on the more disgusted I get with both D’s and R’s and there collusion and attending show.

    from the left?

I think Dennis or Howard could give him a run for his money.

But probably Howard wouldn’t challenge an incumbent.

As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger when they were surrounded by Indians, what do you mean we white man?  I don’t consider myself a Democrat, at least not one of theirs.   Moderate and conservative Republicans abandoned their Party to the tea baggers and hijacked the Democratic Party.  Now, they own both of them.

    Really?

Personally, I think Obama comes off looking pedantic, pushy, and petulant at these things.

    Could be wrong though.

  6. another conversation about killer whales last night.  I have to classify this into the subliminal seed category.  In this “post 911 world” it does seem as if the majority of programmed sheeple opt for euthanizing a whale over just letting the thing go free in the ocean.

What does this have to do with health care you might be asking right now.  Lasthorseman, you are “off topic”, but not if the theme was destroying health care all along.

From the people who scope out real whale free news I call your attention to number 22.  Obama’s team of globalist oriented individuals who think nations are an obsolete concept.

OK, now back to the whales.  Why did the “this is what you must think” electronic media network promote the story of killer whales.  Well it’s part of the Stanford Prison experiment programming.  Just got to kill something.  You can’t let thing go free, that would screw up Sea World’s profit margins by not having a performing whale.  They would have to train another one.

Bilderberg advanced two major agendas, last two years.

    Global control of money

    Global control of health

    Two really big whales.

  7. …….the Chicago Bulls an NBA Championship”.

“We must find the common ground, push forward for our goal. We, as Bulls fans, must embrace the good, rather than fantasize about the perfect”.

When Obama comes on TV, I turn the sound off and imagine him giving an inspired speech to all the despondent Bulls fans.

He’s all style, next to zero content.
