Hold on to the sun

Someone asked me on this blog once why I find happiness in despair, why I find lightness in the dark, why I have a smile of steel at the worst possible times,

I have no answer, but the best way I can frame it is in a series of vignettes.

Came the last night of sadness

And it was clear she couldn’t go on

Then the door was open and the wind appeared

The candles blew then disappeared

The curtains flew then he appeared…saying don’t be afraid
