The Horror Story of U.S. Army Specialist Alexis Hutchinson

VENTURA, California, Nov 13 (IPS)
– U.S. Army Specialist Alexis Hutchinson, a single mother, is being threatened with a military court-martial if she does not agree to deploy to Afghanistan, despite having been told she would be granted extra time to find someone to care for her 11-month-old son while she is overseas.

Is the United States Military, the greatest purveyor of horror in the world, so despicably desperate to fill its ranks with warm bodies to staff its crimes against humanity it is willing to perpetrate crimes of humanity against its own soldiers.

The answer obviously is yes.

The single-mom who is being ordered to abandon her child in order to fulfill her duty says she can’t find anyone trustworthy to take care of Kamani. The Military does not believe her and thinks she trying to get out of serving. So they arrested her and sent her kid packing into the foster care system. The plan is to send this patriot to Afghanistan for a military court martial. And anyway, what kind of American name is Kamani anyway. Obviously this woman is in league with the devil.

The issues for me aren’t any of the intricacies of this story, but why is the military even contemplating ripping a baby out of its mother’s arms to deploy her overseas? Isn’t there any state-side job she could do? Nothing? She must be deployed or we’ll lose Afghanistan to the tewwowists?

This is nothing short of sick, twisted, cruel and unusual punishment – not the arrest and court martial but the military’s inhumane treatment of its own people to persecute its illegal, immoral, irresponsible project for full-spectrum evil.

It’s not time to withdraw from these deadly, destructive, disastrous wars. It’s time to disband the military itself. It is out of control. Rogue. The US military is an enemy of the American people.

Despicable.

    Hey admins!!!

    Check out the spammers!

  1. society and all of it’s patriotic claims of glory and greatness.

    Spot on gottlieb.

    Peace ;-)>

  2. This story never appeared in our local paper, here in Ventura (Ventura County Star). Damn liberal media.

  3. accounting to our attention.  It is unfathomable that we have come to this most inhumane level — a child and it’s mother.  Of course, if we’re able to commit the atrocities abroad, as we do, I think it’s probably reasonable to assume that we could perpetrate similar cruelties upon our own people.

This is totally sick and wanton — makes me cringe and sick to my stomach!

I’m going to call this episode to the attention of my Senator.  It needs to come to the attention of SOMEONE, in fact, many in the WH!

11-months’ old? — EVERYONE knows how difficult it is to get someone trustworthy enough to care for an infant, without great expense (sometimes, even that’s not enough)!  We keep descending to lower and lower legal and moral plateaus in this country — WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?

  4. the First Lady who’s pet project is military families…?

  5. I have just bumped into this site (h/t Chip), calling for ACTION to call Barbara Lee, and to donate to Hutchinson’s plight:

Army sends infant to protective services, mom to Afghanistan

Army has mom, Alexis Hutchinson, arrested and 11-month old son put into county foster care system. Alexis has now been ordered to deploy to Afghanistan on Sunday, November 15, where she will be court martialed.

Action Alert: Contact Congresswoman Barbara Lee to urge her to “Request that the Army not deploy Alexis Hutchinson to Afghanistan so that she can care for her son.” From the 9th District (Oakland/Berkeley, CA) phone: 510-763-0370 (fax: 510-763-6538). Nationwide: 202- 225-2661 (fax: 202-225-9817).

Donate to Alexis’ legal and family support fund (couragetoresist.org/alexis)

Specialist Alexis Hutchinson of Oakland, CA is the single mother of an 11-month old boy, Kamani. Currently she is confined to Hunter Army Airfield near Savannah, Georgia, where she has been posted since February 2008, and threatened with a court martial if she does not agree to be deployed to Afghanistan, even though she has not found anyone to take care of her child while she is away. We can ALL help, even if just a little!

  6. Certain powerful, economic and political sectors of our nation are now carving out their own spheres of control.

The defense department is just one of many (and of course we’re watching healthcare insurers laugh all the way to the bank). The army is just making sure Alexis is fulfilling her indentured servitude, that’s all.

“Hey little girl, don’t tell daddy what to do.”

  7. I really see no use for this war in Afghanistan. 9 years later, we have the Taliban stronger than ever, OBL on the loose, it seems to be getting worse and worse and the solution isn’t to pour more troops there. Russia already tried that and it didnt work – they ended up withdrawing 10 years later.

    History repeating itself?

  8. we’re at it.

    W.T.F?

    And I don’t swear online.

I’m a foster parent, so I’d sign up to watch her child for her for NOTHING, and give him back, ever so gladly. But I’m in the wrong state, and IF they knew I wanted to let her have him back

and get this, really get this

    that would disqualify me, instantly.

    Think about it.

I’ve seen too much, being a foster parent, way too much. Too many horrible horrible things.
