Have you had enough?

(9 am. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

Have you had enough of the lies?  The politics?  The broken promises?

Have you had enough of the Obama administration providing cover for the Bush cabal, watching as he pushes some of their arguments in court, and trying to implement indefinite detention?

Have you had enough, knowing that Xe, i.e. Blackwater, is still working for the Obama State Department?  That the Obama administration worked behind closed doors to undermine REAL health care reform by promising the industry they would be able to retain profits?

Have you simply had enough?

(crossposted at Daily Kos)

Or… is it STILL not enough for you?

Have you not learned yet that government, OUR government, is about connections, and, an establishment.  Did you not learn that when Timothy Geithner and Larry Summers got put in charge of Wall Street?  Did you not learn that when Eric Holder refused to prosecute Bradley Scholzman for his perjury in front of congress?  Have you not learned this, as time and again, the Obama administration sits idly by as everything around them deteriorates into a political quagmire even as they have 60 Senate seats and an overwhelming majority in the House?  Or, maybe you didn’t learn it when he nominated Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court, a person first nominated by George H.W. Bush because she leaned to the right in her rulings.

We were promised change.  The American people spoke out, resoundingly, FOR that change.  And, yet, what have we gotten for it?

DADT and DOMA is all but forgotten.  HCR is a political quagmire, being weakened every vote, until we end up with nothing more than a gift to the insurance industry in mandatory enrollment with fines for not having insurance.

Wake up.  Smell the roses.  You got 60 Senate seats, the House, AND the White House, yet, nothing has changed.

Wall Street was bailed out with our tax dollars and Geithner, along with with Summers, are making sure that Wall Street gets the profits.

The insurance industry got their assurance of their profits, behind closed doors.

The war in Afghanistan is being escalated.

Job loss continues, and Obama whines about how it will look bad for him politically, while doing nothing economically to force job creation.

Didn’t it strike you as odd that Nancy Pelosi refused to hold Bush accountable before she even got the Speaker position?  That rumors of being involved in a shady land deal hit the papers just as she was taking her position?

Didn’t it strike you as odd that Harry Reid had his own land deal problem, and since, he’s done all he could to let the Republicans derail everything?

Didn’t it strike you as odd that conservative Democrats and Republicans were put in charge of the heath care debate to begin with?

With all of Xe’s, Blackwater’s, problems, aren’t you wondering why they still are on the payroll?

If you aren’t wondering… why aren’t you?

With all of the evidence against the Bush administration, their lawyers, their political operatives, why did Obama walk into office stating, just as Nancy Pelosi did, that he wasn’t about to hold anyone accountable?

Or, have you not had enough yet?

Are you still willing to make excuses, even as President Obama puts forth the same arguments in court that the Bush administration put forth?

Are you still waiting for the change to come as Guantanamo is moved to Bagram AB in Afghanistan?

Are you still waiting for Main Street to get their share as Wall Street gets assurances they will never be allowed to fail and the CEO’s walk off with hundreds of millions in bonuses for their failure?

So, when do your excuses end?

When do you say, “yes, I’ve had enough”?

Dick Cheney learned under Nixon.  He came back under George W. Bush to do great harm.

When shall we see the Monica Goodling’s return because President Obama refused to hold them accountable now?  Shall we await the return of Alberto Gonzales in the future, as well?  The Bradley Schlozman’s?  Simply because President Obama, like Nancy Pelosi, couldn’t be bothered to uphold the laws of our country when they had the chance?

Or, wasn’t enough… enough… for you?

I had to click on your link at DK to see what the reaction would be there.

Predictable.   Sad.   Actually – pathetic and disgraceful.

Another lawyer hired to help close Guantanamo has resigned without comment, so far.

Official Charged With Closing Guantánamo Quits

WASHINGTON – The Defense Department official in charge of closing the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, has resigned after only seven months in the job, the Pentagon said Tuesday.

Phillip Carter, who was named deputy assistant secretary of defense for detainee policy in April, resigned last Friday because of “personal issues,” a Pentagon official said. Mr. Carter could not be reached for comment and no other reasons were given for his departure.

and was rather surprised at how few of them showed up to jump on you for it, Michael. Are they having “I don’t know what the fuck to say” moments now?

  1. He chose his cabinet well, didn’t he?:

Emanual, manager of the Healthcare Charade

Geithner/Summers managers of the Great American Robbery

Gates, manager of Military Industrial Complex

Change you can believe in meant “short change” you can believe in

Actually, there is a much stronger reaction “over there”

to this escalation fraud. The cracks are starting to get bigger, and many are starting to see the “whole package” as a bait and switch.

  2. ‘Course if it eventually breaks you down there are compassionate centrists to get you straight.

  3. there I said it.
