May He Rest in Peace

TMZ . . .

Michael Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Michael Jackson had problems, we all know about the scandals, but he was a gentle soul and an immensely talented artist.  Thank you, Michael, for giving the world this song . . .

There comes a time,

When we heed a certain call,

When the world must come together as one.

There are people dying,

And it’s time to lend a hand to life,

The greatest gift of all.

We can’t go on,

Pretending day by day,

That someone, somewhere will soon make a change.

We are the world,

We are the children,

We are the ones who make a brighter day,

So let’s start giving.

There’s a choice we’re making,

We’re saving our own lives,

It’s true we’ll make a better day,

Just you and me.

Send them your heart,

So they’ll know that someone cares,

And their lives will be stronger and free.

We are the world,

We are the children.

We are the ones who make a brighter day,

So let’s start giving.

There’s a choice we’re making,

We’re saving our own lives.

It’s true we’ll make a better day,

Just you and me.

When you’re down and out,

There seems no hope at all.

But if you just believe,

There’s no way we can fall.

Let us realize,

That a change will only come,

When we stand together as one.

Let us realize,

That a change will only come,

When we stand together as one.

Michael Jackson will live forever through his music.

May the Goddess guide him on his Journey to the Summerlands. May his family and friends find Peace. Blessed Be

  1. Believe in justice.

    Believe in a better future.

    Make it happen.

What a strange human he was, how sad and haunted his life, despite his ample gifts. Hearing of his death made my sym-empathy meter peg. How very sad.

  2. I enjoyed his  music and dancing very much and my son was crazy about him. He was only 3yo at the time, but he would stop everything he was doing when he heard Michael on the radio and tried to dance.

Back in the 80’s I had a neighbor, a young black man named Michael Jackson, we could not convince my little son that he was not THE Michael. It as kind of funny and now I’m sad, they’re both gone now.

    Rest in peace, Michael.

  3. at last. Such a troubled and public life but I always felt his soul was seeking. Hope he finds it.

I searched the front page before posting mine, but somehow missed yours…

Anyway, the guy deserves essays from everyone, I think.

    He was a huge talent!

once upon a time a ver Ver VER long time ago, i was in love with lil michael jackson (& was often asked why not donny osmond)

  4. RIP Michael.

  5. of a certain age who did not buy “Thriller” or any of his albums even though as I got older I could see how talented he was.

At the time he was big, MTV was hitting a stride and you couldn’t put it on or the radio on without hearing one of his songs so I rebelled and bought nothing.

MJ certainly makes a compelling case for avoiding celebrity.

The truth is none of the adoring fans knew him, they knew a constructed image that clearly began to fail. Seems to me he died young and used up. I hope his children who are still relatively young get a chance to mourn and can escape the darker aspects of celebrity to become individuals in their own right.

Hope his sister is paying attention. She is talented in her own right.

  6. aged 13 knew nothing of Michal Jackson other then the most recent of his past. She took a class at drama camp called Teenage Angst in the Movies they did scenes from The Breakfast Club. She rented Thriller as part of her homework and was amazed at the sheer talent of the man. She said ‘How sad that someone this talented is so screwed up and crazy.’ I hope his soul and music live in Neverland, now that he has left his tortured world behind. I once read an interview with him in which he said that artists just allow the music to come through them they pull it out of the universe.
