A Look At The “9/12 Project”

(Cross-posted at The Free Speech Zone)

Now many of you have already laughed at the title, possibly even rolled your eyes, but you should be scared.

No, not because this is a group of people led by Glenn Beck that will “rise up” successfully, but because of the fact that some people actually believe this bullshit he fucking spews for ratings on Fox News to the leftover Bush Lovers and they might be living in your community.

So for your safety I will provide you with an exposé of the “9/12 Project” so you can spot these fucking nutcases from a mile away and laugh them out of existence.

Like any movement based on some type of “morality” you need a list of rules (or in this case “principles”) that set the tone for what the group is about and what they hope to achieve.

It is the first step to building a social movement or forming a group that wishes to accomplish some type of objective.

The “9/12 Project” has “9 Principles”:

Source: http://theglennbeck912project….

1. America Is Good.

Well, um, ok.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

Ok so you know we got the evangelicals on-board and Judge Napolitano on Faux News is telling them to “start their own party” outside the two-party system if they don’t agree with either party.

But nothing, and I mean nothing, pisses me off more then when these fucking douchebags take part of a quote from the founding fathers to shove “God” down your throat.

Here’s the sentences before and after the little snippet they took out to make their own point:

I dwell on this prospect with every satisfaction which an ardent love for my country can inspire, since there is no truth more thoroughly established than that there exists in the economy and course of nature an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness; between duty and advantage; between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity; since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained; and since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty and the destiny of the republican model of government are justly considered, perhaps, as deeply, as finally, staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.

http://www.theamericanrevoluti…

That “prospect” he was “dwelling on”:

In these honorable qualifications I behold the surest pledges that as on one side no local prejudices or attachments, no separate views nor party animosities, will misdirect the comprehensive and equal eye which ought to watch over this great assemblage of communities and interests, so, on another, that the foundation of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality, and the preeminence of free government be exemplified by all the attributes which can win the affections of its citizens and command the respect of the world.

Translation: I might have my own beliefs, and you yours, but my own personal views won’t be my guide in governing. The role of government, and my role as president, is to be equal and secular in executing the laws drafted by a government of the people.

In summation, George Washington fucking hates Glenn Beck.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

Sooooo Glenn Beck fails his own third principle seeing how after the “FEMA Camp” shit got out he said something to the effect that your an idiot if you believe everything he says on t.v.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

I agree, and so do many members of the LGBT community who wish to get married and have a family.  A right that some in the country enjoy and others can’t. You see, the government won’t let them get married and have a family.

So that’s it, I demand an armed gay uprising citing this principle with a “Che”-like image of Glenn Beck on a Rainbow Flag.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

Equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.

Nobody, no matter if it’s the President or a bum on the street, is above the rule of law.

Allow me to use Mr. Beck’s own words on the question of whether or not to prosecute the Bush Administration:

That is the question here. What are the bounds of the law?

What if every time the next administration disagreed all of these people got into trouble?

Abraham Lincoln, his lawyers and advisors would be in jail for recommending suspending habeas corpus, the section of the Constitution during the Civil War. How about FDR? His lawyers, his advisers, should they have gone to jail for pushing through the National Recovery Administration, which the Supreme Court later struck down – most of it as unconstitutional.

How about Harry Truman? His lawyers, his advisers, should they have gone to jail for recommending taking over steel mills which the Supreme Court said was illegal? How about Bill Clinton? His advisers told him to bomb a plant in the Sudan that locals were saying was just baby aspirin. Should they be in jail as well?

Who is going to stand up to a president and tell him what he should do or what their opinion is or make the tough decisions if they can end up in jail the next administration, just for making tough controversial decisions that their job requires? Who would be able to keep working when they have to deal with that constant threat?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0…

Um, I think Thomas Jefferson said all men so yeah, them too.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

Well, uh, ya got me there, but way to repeat what’s in the Constitution as if it’s something you thought up.

However, if the people feel their taxes should pay for things like health-care or welfare we got that “democracy” thing that forces their hand so, eat a dick.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

This is another case of a quote taken out of context to prove Glenn Beck’s bullshit.

Here’s what he said:

Let your heart feel for the afflictions and distresses of every one, and let your hand give in proportion to your purse; remembering always the estimation of the widow’s mite, but, that it is not every one who asketh that deserveth charity; all, however, are worthy of the inquiry, or the deserving may suffer.

GEORGE WASHINGTON, letter to Bushrod Washington, Jan. 15, 1783

http://www.notable-quotes.com/…

Self explanatory, George Washington wasn’t a fucking douchebag, Glenn Beck is.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

George’s quote is taken out of context.  The “or more properly, without thinking” was a correspondence with Lafayette to explain to Lafayette at the time why Sullivan (the American Captain of a Naval Fleet) and his crew were fucking pissed that D’Estaing (French Commander) never showed up on time to help out the American forces in two battles and were about to just bounce to Boston to refit after fucking them like that.  Obviously there were words between the two captains and the soldiers aboard so Washington, to make nicey-nice with Lafayette, explained that sometimes people say shit without thinking, especially in a “free-republic” like the one they were trying to form.

Source: http://books.google.com/books?…

Glenn Beck says shit without thinking because he can’t think. Big difference and has nothing to do with dissent and everything to do with “ignorance of a situation”.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson

Ideally yes, but take it from members of the left during the Bush years, government is the only thing that responds truthfully to questions you ask it while torturing it.

We then also have the “12 Values”

The 12 Values

* Honesty

* Reverence

* Hope

* Thrift

* Humility

* Charity

* Sincerity

* Moderation

* Hard Work

* Courage

* Personal Responsibility

* Gratitude

According to the “9 Principles”, fuck charity my shit is mine, America is fucking great, government works for me, and fuck whatever responsibility I have as a citizen to make it work.

So maybe 8?

ORGANIZING EFFORT

Organize This

VOLUNTEER/EVENTS

We heard you. After the Tea Parties, many of you were asking,  Now what?

We need to keep the energy going!

You will find ideas on what to do on this page and highlights on what other groups are doing. Many groups are already well established around the country doing great things.

We are looking for leadership volunteers to coordinate groups of individuals in their area. Your responsibility will be to:

   * Form your group

   * Identify events to attend in your area

   * Pass out information promoting the Project

   * Sign up individuals and assign volunteer opportunities

   * Coordinate PR initiative

Contact [email protected] if you are interested in coordinating volunteers in your area.

If you have a group established, register your group with meetup.com to keep others in your area informed.

Tip of the week:

Pass out flyers in public areas on car windshields while you are out running errands! Have your children help. You can use this opportunity to educate your children about the project!

Keep checking back on tips and ideas from your fellow 9/12er’s.

http://theglennbeck912project….

So the Obama Grassroots model that he tapped into (it was there already) you wanna make yourself and instruct via a Fox News pundit.

Astroturf anyone?

If there is a story that is not getting the proper attention or being overlooked by the traditional media, please send it to us at The 9-12 Project or summarize the story in the comment section below.

We would also love to hear news on any local activities you are planning to support The 9-12 Project in your town.

http://theglennbeck912project….

Yeah, and if it’s big enough Fox News will cover it!

We are asking you to monitor the media, and help them do their job and keep the government honest.

When you see that the “4th Estate” is not living up to it’s duty, it is incumbent upon you to let them know exactly how you feel.  The media lives and dies on ratings and they know that one unhappy letter-writer is equal to 1000 unhappy viewers.  Write emails and letters the minute you feel as if the media are not fulfilling their obligation to us.

http://theglennbeck912project….

Yup, all about the ratings.

You would know alllllll about that wouldn’t ya?

Fuckin’ douche.

  1. so do I.

    Guess it’s like “The Force”

    A light and a dark side ya know?

    Or confused me. Or something. Beck is doing something useful, though — he’s making a parody of all things GOP. Even some of the true believers are going to see through this stuff…

  2. Pontiffs of the non-opposition “left” party have been told to marginalize these “loons” of the right.

    Do they have a valid point or is this more the social science of people division/distraction/diversion.

    Right based HATE groups are more than just Beck

    John Birch Society- stands against plans by the “conservative patriot” Bush administration to form a North American Union, in secret.

    Granny Warriors

    http://www.grannywarriors.com/

    That Rev. Wright-esque radical Bob Basso?

    http://www.youtube.com/browse?…

    Or how about those true terrorists the 911 truthers

    http://www.wearechange.org/

    Beck is after all a very highly paid member of the what to think network and as such is co-intel-pro-ing his way into the “opposition” left parties “intellectual” superiorness.

    You should be well aware of the daily-ooze practice of historizing proles not having their heads firmly up the ass of “left” PC excrement.  Face it the term racist

    applies now to thought patterns.

    They the “opposition” party could have impeached and ended torture in 2006, but no.

    They, that now “defunct” “opposition” “right wing” party has eight full years of Nazi style graphics ready to recycle and us “against” the Obots IF there is anybody around after the bio-plague.
