    and I won’t be surprised if there will be blood.

    But maybe not for the reasons we think? Maybe everything will fall apart. But it could be that that is because something else is going on…

    Economic depression and fruitless war will lead to popular anger, political fragmentation, and repudiation of a dysfunctional government. All we have is the fragile network of sanity provided by the public Internet to stop the rise of a fascist movement claiming the need to restore “order.” It will be a race between the predators and the peace makers, and the outcome is very much in doubt.
