I was given a post dated check for 1/21. And I have to wait 20 days even to deposit it. And then a while after that to find out whether it’s good or is a bouncer. It wouldn’t be prudent to spend the money yet.
Put another way, I still have a lot of unanswered questions, but I’m sure we’ll all see what’s up in time.
As most of you know, this video was made for the Eyes Wide Open exhibit by the American Friends Service Committee.
I visited the exhibit when it came to our area. As I was leaving, a soldier arrived. I had my camera and was working on taking a picture of him inconspicuously. When I looked up, I realized that I caught him wiping away tears.
Beautiful and succinct. Twenty days, and so hopeful for peace. Unity would be nice, too, but that will probably take a while longer and require more sensitivity training for the police forces.
