Change: Not just a slogan anymore!

As we struggle through the emotional gut punch of PERHAPS having Soapblox shut down and PERHAPS having the blog affected, all I can think of is…

Change.

It’s HERE!

And of course change, especially on this big of a level, does NOT mean just the things we don’t like changing for the better. It means EVERYTHING will change. Including the things we don’t want to change. The things that comfort and please us will change too.

We are leaving a time where change has been repressed. But change IS life itself. It is the Life Force that changes things….and the Life Force cannot be repressed for long. And very often the change that comes after repression is sudden swift and “violent.” Violent in the sense that change has been pressing forward against the repression and once freed….tends to explode.

In unexpected directions and in unexpected ways. Be prepared, emotionally, for huge swings, explosions of good and bad, and expect the unexpected.

Buckle up. (not that it will do any good)

Stock up on the things you love. (not that it will do any good)

And Hold Onto Your Hats! (not that it will do any good.)

Change is here.

  2. “stocking up on things that you love” part. And I DO think that does some good. At least it makes it worth riding out the storm.

May you live in interesting times?

We can deal with it. No sweat.

  3. This is a terrible day.

I’m working through my Scrapbooking process and wishing that I had started sooner.

I barely have Internet anyway because of the ice storm.

…in the forefront of my brain the thought that Docudharma is not the platform that is used, but rather the people who are members.

  4. better get real and not include granite or cake chock ful of melaimine (whatever that is). I have been heartened by the trades people who are remodeling my house.I started before I realized that the sky was falling or else I have lived so long under shattering skies I just don’t give a rats ass. You can’t eat it folks moneywise. Anyway I went with green and non corporate local people, They have been talking amonst themselves about co-operatives, about trades about making their clients not just the rich, but people with in the area, and affordable.

They also talk of politics and how local is the only thing we can control. Amazing! My painter has become a blogger as I showed him how to navigate dkos. So I think we need to learn to love some new things, we here have a good start. Lets spread the love of community and bounty non corporate around. Learn to love the simple, the sharing. On the other hand a good stock pile of durables can’t hurt. They call my house Cindy’s rabble rousing liberal conclave. A big big change is coming and believe me it’s bottom up. Were not helpless were smart and were legion.
