I wrote this and posted it on Progressive Blue and Daily Kos yesterday. I think many people agree. I was asked to post here at DD.
As incredible as that may sound, President George W. Bush tells us in an interview with his sister, Doro Bush Koch, that not only did he not sell his soul while making difficult decisions in the White House, he actually told her that “I darn sure wasn’t going to sacrifice my values.”
Oh Really? What values might that be, Sir? The values you learned growing up that included do unto others before they do it to you? Art for art’s sake, money for God’s sake? Profits before People? Repeat the lie over and over again until it becomes common knowledge that the lie is fact? Sulk at all times when not given exactly what you want and then try to do damage to whatever or whomever that didn’t agree with you (like the American people, Georgie)?
Reflecting on his eight-year presidency, President Bush said above all he would like to be remembered as a commander-in-chief who remained faithful to his values and “did not sell his soul in order to accommodate the political process.”
In an interview with his younger sister, Doro Bush Koch, the president said he was forced to make several difficult choices during his tenure in the White House, but added “I darn sure wasn’t going to sacrifice [my] values.”
“I came to Washington with a set of values, and I’m leaving with the same set of values,” Bush told Koch in an interview taped earlier this month that aired on National Public Radio Thursday.
Let’s have a look at what your values brought us, Mr. Bush.
o Contrived fear fed to the public in large doses.
o Invading Iraq.
o Invading Iraq on the premise of absolute lies made up by the neo-cons.
o Invading Iraq because you wanted to profit from the war.
o 4,200 dead American’s in Iraq. Likely a million dead Iraqi’s.
o Mission Accomplished, you arrogant bastard!
o Katrina. Brownie. Hell of a job. New Orleans still in shambles.
o Alberto Gonzales,Donald Rumsfeld,Condi Rice, Vlad(the Impaler)Cheney.
o Stem cell research set back years.
o Spying on Americans. Jeebus, Bush! WTF?
o Blackwater mercenaries / Halliburton kickbacks.
o Cronies profiteering from the American people.
o Wiping your ass with the Constitution.
o Laughing at the Rule of Law. Two Americas, indeed…
o In general hatefulness shown to anyone not in your personal circles
o Financial ruin of a nation that may never overcome the damage.
o You tell me in the comments. I could go on all day…
The beginning of this run on sentence that you spewed may very well be the most damning of anything you could possibly say at this point in your obviously horribly failed Presidency.
“I’d like to be a President (known) as somebody who liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace;
Three hundred million Americans were held hostage by your fucking values, Mr. Bush. Thousands died on your watch. An entire country enslaved that you in your words stated were “liberated.”
Values are something humans have. Mr. Bush, you are no human.

Never allowing these neo-con assholes to re-write history by changing the peoples minds on Bushs’ legacy is so very important to me right now. Perhaps more than any other issue at this point. They are already trying to do so, all the while still “burrowing” more neo-con’s into our government as we watch them do it.
Tell your children, your grandchildren and ask them to verbally hand this story of BushCo and their evil down to their offspring. Never, ever, allow revisionist history to be written by the “lie and then repeat it enough times for it to become reality” Republicans.
Our country can NEVER again allow these criminals to be elected to anything. WE can keep it from happening. WE must!

Wonder what we’d see if, face-to-face, we could look into Bush’s eyes and see his soul as W did with Putin. … It is a disturbing image to consider.

anyway, topic at hand, this only shows how delusional Bush is. He’s the kid who tortures pets, the teenager who steals and blames it on his friend, the college boy who sucker punches a rugby opponent, the failure whose parents help him buy a professional baseball team because maybe he’ll be good at something, lord knows he’s failed at everything else.
Without the wealth he’d be wandering the streets, thanks to Reagan!
Has never presented himself as anything more than a diversionary figurehead. It has been those behind the scenes I have seen as major Satanic entities from staff pictures. These are people like Alberto Gonzales,John Yoo,Leo Strauss and Chertoff. Viewing those staff pictures for the first time, gazing into those evil eyes, yuck. Don’t know how or why God himself blessed me with this “gift” but I do like and always have been able to keep my mind open to all sorts of “stuff”.
While most say one must be grounded in “reality”, I say reality sucks and we do have a choice in making our own.
