Sacred cows

They’re loading us into the boxcars now,

Loading, lowing, lowering,

For we’re on our way to the killing fields.

People are starving.

Don’t think about our end, for

Why were we born if not to be

Consumed?

There are a lot of concerns in here: the distrust that’s infected our good nature, the young men and women marching off to war again, the sacrifices that must be made to regain our classless society and to bring all our worlds together.

This morning, I reread the story of Brandon Teena, and, suspecting that such events will happen again, it was necessary to write this thought down.

…except by mostly divorcing myself into the role of Observer.  It was much easier to write from the point of view of, “This is what happened.”
