Observant folks will note the giant “Donny and Marie” sign in the background. In a separate show the actual “Osmond Brothers” are playing.

  1. Very nice ucc!  I love the night photography esp. the fountains.

I’ve only been to Vegas a couple times – just passing through on road trips.    The last time was about 16 years ago on my way from Denver to San Diego.  I was driving by myself and decided I wanted to have a Fear & Loathing in LV experience.  So I stayed overnight at the Tropicana and took some shrooms.  Then I wandered around the casinos gaping at all the blinky lights and gaudy decor.  When the vibe and the noise and zombie people got to be too much I escaped outside – funny how they make it so hard to find the exits.  I had a great time outside.  More blinky lights and neon colors.  The best thing of all was the Volcano fountain at the Mirage.  I watched that thing for a lonnng time.         Apparently it’s under renovation to bring it up to date and even more spectacular.  I would like to go back and see some shows like Cirque du Soleil and eat good food.  My husband is a pretty good Texas Hold Em player.   He has no desire to go there however.   Most of our poker playing these days is social – at our house with a bunch of friends.
