Aroma de Trauma: Wingnuts Desperation Scent Takes Hold

(11 am. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

I have used this “Aroma de Trauma” tag before because it is befitting of the GOP as a whole, particularly since Mc weather Vane became their poster boy, surprising not only himself but the entire Republican establishment into the bargain. Watching this election cycle from across the pond with great interest I have no qualms about venturing into the various right wing sites to measure the temperature (boiling to really pissed off), read the latest jeremiads and smell their fear. They are scared stoopid!

Here is my selection, hold your nose.

Red State is a must read these days as Erick the Viking’s site is obviously in deep pain, reeling from bad news to worse news. From Mark Kilmer, who is dumbfounded about the pesky media:

This year, John McCain never had a chance with the media. Obama’s ideology – uncertain, possibly progressive, and insubstantial, with alternating promises – is the perfect fit, unfortunately, with today’s media, with its predilection for political flightiness.

Oh dear! Feeling unloved?

“What to do, what to do”?, he asks himself and comes out with this brilliant strategy:

Three weeks is a long time, but it has to begin Wednesday night. John McCain has to clearly win the evening on Wednesday in such a way that the Obama-enthralled media will report it that way.

I love the smell of desperation in the morning!

Another poster cleverly tries to put two and two together, and comes out with his own trumps minus the logic:

Cashill has done an exhaustive comparison of Dreams From My Father, the literary coming-out party of Barack Obama, and Fugitive Days, the terrorist memoir of Weatherman founder – turned Academician William Ayers. The two memoirs bear such striking similarities that they appear to have been written by the same person. Since it is highly unlikely that Sen Barack Obama wrote both, the obvious conclusion would be that Ayers worked closely with Obama in ghostwriting the latter’s book.

Over at Charles Johnson’s Little Green Footballs they are worried sick that the MSM is no longer on their side and will not accept McVane as a paid-up member of the far right:

This is where the mainstream media has been headed ever since the nomination of Barack Obama as the Democratic candidate; E. J. Dionne is the latest journalist to claim that any and all criticism of Obama is by definition racist. But he takes it an extra step, saying that John McCain represents the reemergence of the far right. Yes, really. John McCain, far right extremist. Wow. Meanwhile, Barack Obama associates with people who scream “God damn America,” and with people who are guilty of bombing the US Capitol, and gets a complete pass

.

From Right Wing News a blogger called Van Helsing is also railing at the MSM, citing that schoolchildren are “forcefed” stories about Obama:

“Obamunists see no need to wait for the media to install their messiah in the White House before propagandizing to children about the glories of his illustrious regime”. SNIP “If the liberal establishment has its way, future generations will grow up believing that America was a bleak, rotten place, until The One brought Change and transformed it into a socialist utopia, where all comrades are guaranteed a bowl of rice every day, and no one can oppress anyone else by getting more than their shar e”.

I always get a good laugh reading NewsMax. Today Toe-sucker extraordinaire Dick Morris looked deep into his own beady eyes and with lips dripping with rancor asked himself:

“Why did Obama put up with Ayers? Because he got a big job and $50 million of patronage to distribute to his friends and supporters in Chicago. Why did he hang out with Jeremiah Wright? Because he was new in town, having grown up in Hawaii and Indonesia and having been educated at Columbia and Harvard, and needed all the local introductions he could get to jump-start his political career.”

Anonymous poster on LGF goes 11 with a galactic message! His solution: Don’t Panic. Check the link.

And please freep that Newsmax poll here about who’s going to win!

  1. Newsmax before, the wing nuts are really paranoid. Screaming ads for radios for when the rapture or terrorists come and were all doomed! Lordy what a world they live in.

  2. or I didn’t care.  This is a revelation.  Dick Morris’ comments caught my eye, possibly because I know his name.  (And I’ve had his number for years.) Putting up with Ayers, a 60’s activist turned college professor, for pete’s sake, is not an abomination in my eyes.  And do I not recall that Obama’s white grandmother lived in a wealthy Chicago neighborhood?  Why would he need Reb. Wright for local introductions?  Morris is speaking like an idiot, or I am.
