    McCain will look bad after him.  ðŸ™‚

    • Edger on September 27, 2008 at 03:31

    I decided not to watch it because I don’t think I can stand watching McCain try to speak coherently… if he had any sense left he’d throw a white towel out onto the stage and keep his mouth shut.

  2. Glad you’ve stepped up though.

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:33

    Bush and McCains feet.

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:33

  3. I’ve not been feeling too well these last few days.

    Duh!!

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:35

    working together.  The silver lining of the failure, I guess.

    • Robyn on September 27, 2008 at 03:35

    It’s the end of the beginning.

    Droll wit, that.

    How trite can he be.

  4. “We’re going to have to intervene.”

    • Robyn on September 27, 2008 at 03:39

    …complains about greed?

  5. would be to take a swig every time McCain says “greed.”

  6. “Don’t know whether its criminal or paternal.”

    Blew it!!!!!!!!!!

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:43

    Better let the meat packers union know.

    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 03:44

    “fundamental”    pulze.

    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 03:45

    in Washington!   LOLOL

    “We Republicans came to power to change government and government changed us.”

    that belongs on Kitty’s blog!

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:46

    on pork, and corruption.

  7. to talk to each other and they’re resisting.

  8. while Obama wants to talk about taxes.

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:50

    Obama talking about the corporate loopholes so big business doesn’t end up paying most of the taxes they should.

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:53

    seems to have developed a stupid snicker like Bush now?

    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 03:55

    nicely explained, Obama.  ðŸ™‚

  9. Energy independence

    Health care

    Education

    Infrastructure

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 03:56

    McCain giggles and tries to slam Obamas voting record.  I think that could be the commentary for the whole debate.

  10. Cut!!!!!

  11. Great suit.

  12. spending freeze on everything but defense, veterans affairs and entitlements.

  13. we can reduce spending on Iraq.

  14. McCain keeps repeating himself and spinning his wheels.

  15. Woot!

    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:05

    LOL   sounds good.

  16. Classic GOP strategy – let the spending and corruption get out of control, then blame it on the Democrats.

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:07

    what victory in Iraq would be.

  17. to brag about his running mate. How out of touch is he?

    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:10

    on Iraq from the begining.  That could be a bumper sticker.  Right the First Time on issues.

    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:10

    decisions with their families and their deceased doctors, not the federal government’

    ~~~John McCain
  18. For a guy who likes to gamble as much as he does, that’s a terrible tell.
  19. ptui
  20. and Petraeus is NOT brilliant.
    (eye roll)
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:15
    Mc didn’t vote for the one with a time table.  I love the way O is handling the old man
  21. We’re winning in Iraq. WHAT is he ON?!??
  22. We’re not “winning”, here’s why….
  23. (So let us pump all of their stolen oil out of the ground now…)
    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:24
  24. saying that McCain telling him about not being diplomatic in how he talks about Pakistan when McCain’s the one that talks about bomb, bomb, bombing Iran is a bit hard to swallow.
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:25
    His hero, Reagan.
  25. by ethnically cleansing Baghdad.
    Is McCain now suggesting we will ethnically cleanse the border regions of Pakistan?
    And what was that about Taliban intermarriage?  Is he proposing some kind of Gitmo Divorce Court?
  26. to debate someone who uses nothing but platitudes when you want to talk intelligently about the issues.
    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:27
    ‘snatch defeat from the jaws of victory’
    what is McC smoking?   sigh.
    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:28
    (going into Iraq)  heh… Obama stays on point and i really, really like that.
  27. Deliberately mentions the “poppy trade”.
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:30
    comment about muddling through Afghanistan
  28. Banging into the microphone and with that crazy look in his eye.
    Nobody light a match around this guy.
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:32
    Elect me or Iran will nuke you.
  29. has no actual ideas and he sounds a condescending. I guess it is the format but Obama lacks a bit of passion even though he is staying on point.
    McCain for some reason also looks like his teeth don’t fit him properly. Fuck it…. he looks old. Sue me for being ageist.
  30. (Musharrif) “…may be a dictator but he’s OUR dictator!”
    • kj on September 27, 2008 at 04:39
    mcc brought out a story about the dead soldier and a bracelet.
    i thought there was a new playbook.  same old, same old, same old, same old.
    oh!  obama has a bracelet story too!  and brought it home to ‘judgment’ and ‘decision’ again, touche!
  31. just got McCain with his gaffe about the President of Spain.
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:40
    O brought up mc’s statement where he didn’t know if he would meet with Spain.
  32. just say our Sec of State is Albright?
  33. McCain said,”Senator Obama doesn’t seem to understand”….
    He is trying to position himself as the wise sage which might work if he was actually wise… I think that kind of superiority would annoy me and I would want to lean over and smack him.
    Notice how little McCain gestures physically?
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:43
    Wonder if Mc is going to say his VP can see it from her house?
  34. and “our” right to free those methane hydrates from the bottom of the Arctic Ocean…
  35. USAFE has a major base there, Torrejon. Spain was crucial to the success of the first Gulf War. They have been a NATO ally from the beginning. McCain was just whizzing and jizzing about his involvement with a NATO Senatorial committee. He has a problem with Spain?? WTF?!??!?
  36. drilling “offshore” for oil that doesn’t exist won’t deal with any energy problem…
  37. The good thing is McCain is losing his cool and getting pissed. The bad thing is he’s being allowed to steamroller Obama verbally.
  38. I heard that garbage about “clean” coal…
    • Robyn on September 27, 2008 at 04:55
    We still have a lot of freedoms to strip.
    • Alma on September 27, 2008 at 04:56
    Keep up the good work gang.
  39. like not letting NORAD collapse for ninety minutes while the Air Force plays war games (i.e. what actually happened on 9/11/01)?
  40. “I went here”
    “I went there”
    Yeah big deal. You’re the kind of guy who’d walk into the Hofbrauhaus in Munich and still ask for a Budweiser.
  41. doubtless using the CIA’s borrowed dialysis machine…
  42. Interesting.  I watched as much as I could stomach!
    My take? Obama tries hard to get the REAL issues across, while all McCain can do is find a way to ridicule him.
    McCain’s entire goal, it seems t me is to belittle the efforts and thoughts of Obama, but, at the same time, he seems totally unable to offer any solutions!
    • Robyn on September 27, 2008 at 04:59
    We just reached 1500 userids with emeraldmaiden.
  43. The standard hurl-worthy hand wringing and wolf-crying shall now commence… le sigh….
  44. is giving me a headache.
  45. What’s “working” right now is:
    1) the termination of the street war in Baghdad and its replacement with an apartheid state
    2) Iran’s support for al-Maliki
    thus deaths and casualties have been reduced, but not by a whole lot…
  46. who should we watch for the spin?
  47. Nice to end on a note of sanity.
  48. would anyone like to summarize?
  49. sound in tone and phrasing like the Sainted Ronald McDonald Reagan?  Is that just me?  Or the Coronas? Can anybody else hear that?
  50. And, I have come to realize that I need to understand that I have not yet become psychologically equipped enough to learn how to “lie” perpetually, and continue that scenario — endlessly.  Almost, could make one feel “inadequate,” if your sense of “values” were not strong enough!
