Pony Party: Baseball N Fireworks Edition

My friend C suggested we go to a ball game the other night knowing full well I would ditch her to prowl around and take pictures… so off we went to see the Memphis redbirds play I forget who….

And if you go to a ball game in Memphis you must eat….

BBQ Nachos are very tasty but not for the gastrointesinally challenged. We chased it with beer and then some frozen lemon things…

You can also get traditional stuff…

This is “Rocky”, the mascot…. There is a dance called the “Rocky Shuffle”… that involves the flapping of wings…

i love the fireworks(all of ’em!) & that 4th pic of the game is magnificent(hope my spelling is!)

i’ve been listening to you-tubes for much of the day….the rain/storms keep going near but not over us….hot, muggy air….dry as toast ground 🙁

i’ve been congratulating mrD on getting the irrigation in…the corn is tasseling!

i gues i’m in a really wierd place right now 🙁

  2. The BBQ nachos w/ beer sound great.  And I get a kick out of team mascots so I have to reveal this pic of me with the San Francisco Giant’s mascot:  Lou Seal. (A long time ago – in the 1950s – the Giants played in “Seals Stadium”) We were leaving the park after a game and he was right in our aisle so my husband snapped some pics.

I think the ballpark in SF is the best in the country. But the beers are going for $8.50 now so we usually bring our own food to save some $.
