McCain has no comment, and neither do I

AP reports that John McCain

…resisted being dragged into a discussion Wednesday about insurance companies that cover Viagra but not birth control products.

“I certainly do not want to discuss that issue,” the presidential candidate said when a reporter asked him about it on his campaign bus, the “Straight Talk Express.”

Learning from his example, I have no comment on the location of McCain’s town meeting in Hudson, Wisconsin on Friday to discuss women’s issues.  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports:

The meeting will be held at J&L Steel Erectors, a woman-owned business.

Wonder what will come up.

  1. Howls of indignation?

    Indifference?

    All welcome here.

    Tried to resist, but couldn’t.

  2. And then screw us all.

  3. I asked a friend, a former Navy test pilot and son of Navy pilot, whether McCain’s status as a Navy pilot qualified him to be President.  Friend is way conservative, semi-fundy, generally not a good bet politically.  His response was, “Fuck no, we didn’t like him when he WAS in the Navy.  Nearly last in his class, flew a “flying sewer-pipe”, plane that only dipshits fly,  and couldn’t keep IT up in the air”.

Not sure he’ll vote Obama (he likes the idea of a black in the Oval Office, but thinks Obama is too liberal….I tried to disabuse him of that notion), but pretty good bet his rather numerous clan won’t be behind Johnny Mac.
